September 17, 200718 yr That's nice... It's true. I think it should have been a bigger story but UK and UL aren't big enough names in college football yet to be a big story.
September 17, 200718 yr That's nice... As nice (and pointless) as saying Forde wrote a nice article. For a UNC fan you sure do care a lot for UK...
September 17, 200718 yr Thus proving his point. Huge deal in KY? Sure was. Big deal any where else? Not even close... True, but UK has gotten some mileage out of the win, with some recruits and so forth...they shot into the rankings at least for this week. The game is not that big of a deal outside of KY, no matter when it is played.
September 17, 200718 yr The game is not that big of a deal outside of KY, no matter when it is played. And in turn it is very wise to maximize the impact. That was avoided this year, and in the end it hurt UK when it was designed to hurt UL. I'm just glad I had ESPN JV. It was a fun one to watch...
September 17, 200718 yr True, but UK has gotten some mileage out of the win, with some recruits and so forth. What verbals did they get Today? I know the BG targets were not in Lexington. Who was???

It was a fun one to watch... Understood not getting into the households via ESPN or ESPN2 may have limited the exposure to a degree, but the win in itself and the fashion in which they won...UK gained quite a bit of publicity on the W itself. Was on SC in the first few moments...highlights throughout the USC/Neb game... America knows who won that game... Did they maximize the impact...prolly not, but the exposure was still good based on solely winning the game.
September 17, 200718 yr What verbals did they get Today? I know the BG targets were not in Lexington. Who was??? No verbals but recruits interest in UK went up. One kid from Texas can envision verbaling to UK shortly. Made a positive impact on a DL from South Carolina, and a few from Georgia... Ulinski and Robey from Kentucky and another kid from Lexington.

September 17, 200718 yr For a UC fan you sure do care a lot for UL... I follow and talk a lot about all three programs on a regular basis for my job. It has nothing to do with UL. Plus I've never hid the fact that following what became a twin brother to UC through the new conferences on the way to the BEast increased my awareness of UL over almost 30 years. When people call you a UK fan you always relish the fact you are a UNC fan only. Simply calling shenanigans (bugatti 2002)....
September 17, 200718 yr  Go check the ESPN football page as boonedock suggested. Not a single mention on the sports home page from the "World Wide Leader". It's so huge it's not listed...

Can I get the rest of the names to see the impact when it all plays out???
September 17, 200718 yr Author I'm a UNC basketball fan...Not a UNC football, soccer, golf fan. I don't have a team in football but would rather see UK play than Louisville.
September 17, 200718 yr Can I get the rest of the names to see the impact when it all plays out??? Somebody's on TILT again...:jump:
