September 16, 200718 yr So you're saying that you always expect more scoring, and by both teams.... Amazing! I'm not sure what that means. I'm pretty sure 99% of anybody in football would tell you to only chase points when it's necessary so please stop talking down to people on this subject.
September 16, 200718 yr ^Petrino will be looking for a job in a couple of years maybe you all can hire him back. Pitino & Petrino just belong together! Think about it.... :thumb:
September 16, 200718 yr Which is Stubbs' and Kragthorpe's fault. UofL should have run the ball more than 19 times. Inexcusable. I was screaming at the TV the whole time for them to start pounding the ball but it never happened...
September 16, 200718 yr It's really no contest... The best coaches in the world will tell you only chase points when you have to... OK, and just who are these coaches?
September 16, 200718 yr Allen did score 3 TD's. I'd say that is quite an impact. I thought it was two?
September 16, 200718 yr OK, and just who are these coaches? All of the coaches you see on TV who NEVER go for two unless it's necessary!
September 16, 200718 yr I thought it was two? Two on the ground, One in the air. Just wanting to give credit where it is due. The kid is a beast. UL might fare much worse without him.

I'm pretty sure 99% of anybody in football would tell you to only chase points when it's necessary so please stop talking down to people on this subject. And where did this "chasing points" come from anyway? The decision regarding whether to go for the kick or run on conversions should be in direct reflection of the current score, even if it's a 3 TD margin. How do you know the other team won't make up those 3 TD's and, depending on whether they need only to kick the extra point to win, or the 2-pt conversion to win, might be the difference in the ballgame. How can this be considered "chasing points"?
September 16, 200718 yr OK, and just who are these coaches? The only thing I can tell you is start a poll, make it public then check the results. I'm sure you'll find it lopsided...

September 16, 200718 yr He has the built in excuse of losing Vick, he will be successful after this year. The Falcons will win some home games this year. I just don't think Petrino's any better than Spurrier, so I see him coming back to the college game.
September 16, 200718 yr OBVIOUSLY this is your opinion. And well... MANY MANY MANY disagree. And, of course, they're entitled to disagree! That's the best part of this website! :thumb: I was wrong, once. But not on this topic. And I'll leave it at that.
