Go Big Blue!!!!

FHS Definately has the Skills advantage with Fields, Morgan, and Wells, but does Frankfort have anyone that can block Willie Smither and Jeremy Barnett?

Those two guys are awesome quick and can hit!!!!!!!

Packed House at Belpoint!!!!

As I said last week, the game is won at the line of scrimmage!Anyone that cannot see that FC has a difinitve edge here has not seen both teams play.

However,if FC's line takes off one play it will equal 6pts for FHS.Most interesting to me is the coaching matchup on both sides of the ball. The desire from the players will be there, and play calling and adjustments by the coaching staffs will play a huge role in this game. Both of these head coaches have come a long way from being assistants on a winless FC team in the not too distant past! This game is what high school football is all about. Also I love

coach Buckett and company crying the little class A school blues. They don't believe it for a minute, just like Sam Harp and poor little Danville Vs. Boyle co.

One problem i have with this thread is that someone said that Franklin County's coaches work harder than any others in the state. I find that to be wrong.

Your looking at a school (Frankfort) that has no athletic budget. They don't have thousands of dollars to buy the best equipment. The average anywhere from 24-28 kids a year on the team. Yes, they get a good player from time to time, But they don't have the option of of selecting players from the hundreds of kids like Franklin County. Better facilities, equipment, bigger feeder system.

Franklin County has developed into a big time 4-A program. With Coach Ledford leading the way. Kids respect him. He is tough and hard nosed does things the correct way.

Franklin Co. runs a complicated offense to defend. They develope good line and great QB's. By no way am I singing the blues. I am just giving respect to a program that has been built the correct way. When you look at it as BIG SCHOOL vs small school. Franklin County shuld win every year.

After Friday nigh win or lose I will be pulling for franklin County to win every game. Good Luck.

Well said CoachB, you're a smart man.

Likewise I will pull for FHS every night except Fri.:thumb: Yes the budgets of BOTH schools are downright shameful! This can and is overcome by superior coaching which both schools also have!!!!!I wish our local schools had better support from local merchants and even their own school boards and parents.FC goes to several schools that have FIELD TURF,state of the art training facilities, etc.Of course it is human nature to envy these things but unacceptable to use them as an excuse.FCHS and FHS can and will win without them.:ylsuper: :ylsuper: :ylsuper:

Glad you pointed that out. Who ever said that and I think it was a Frankfort High Coach should know that Lexington Catholic and Trinity coaching staffs work harder than anyone else in the state

This is sounding like a matchup for the ages! It is sounding as if either team can win and it all depends on if FC can bottle FHS' speed. Good luck to both teams.

I mean it's pretty Obvious when the offensive coordinator(FHS)... now was the offensive coordinator when the flyers assistant coach now...was the head coach of FHS couple years back.

I am sure FHS coaching staff can make some changes to confuse a little bit, can't they? Or throw in something a little different? If FHS can execute that shouldn't matter. Many very good teams have been based on the simple fact that "you know what we are going to do, now stop us". Sounds like this could apply in this game.

They have changed offenses since Coach Thacker has left. There is very little of Coach Thackers play book kept. Not saying anything way wrong with his play book. Just they have a different type of kids now.

He seems to call out the plays from the sideline. Ask any player in the backfield.

Thacker has never even been on the sideline VS FHS, he is usually in the box.

:D Coming into this game, I say whichever team walks away with the least amount of mistakes IMO will take the victory. Flyers have a very well coached team with Ledford and their OL and DL will probably man handle the Panthers, but speed kills. :fight: Saturday morning one team will get to wake up with 365 days of city bragging rights. :ylsuper:

But you already know my take on things, cough..home team.

I sure hope they are different plays. Thacker all but put the football program at FHS under in his tenure there. Nice to see the blame for any FHS loss still lies on him!!!!

Think about it. Coaches do have a factor on the winning games in all fairness. But let's think are they the one's out there on the field actually giving it their all? Coaching a team can be a deciding factor, yes good point. But when it comes to Friday nights instead of Mon-Thur practicing, let the players play the game and not blame coaches here.

Both coaching staffs are very good at what they do and respected, but let the kids play.:thumb:
