August 13, 200719 yr I never was a big fan of these but after going to the mall in lexington and trying on a couple of pairs in American Eagle I really like them now. Who else wears them?
August 13, 200719 yr Author ^ Yeah a lot of people at college and everywhere are wearing plaid shorts, and I just never cared for them but after trying some on, they are very comfortable. Won't mention the price but I have came around and I am now a fan. My mom even told my brother that she wouldn't buy him a pair that if he wanted some he'd have to buy them himself.
August 13, 200719 yr PH calls them barbecue shorts...and so do I. PH has worn them for years. I remember our foster daughters making fun of him when they were young. Then, all of a sudden, they would go in our room and put them on for school!!! PH is happy that they are back in style...and, so am I. I like seeing him in them.
August 13, 200719 yr If I ever wear dark dress socks pulled up while wearing shorts, I have asked my wife to shoot me as I have officially lost my mind. Just wanted to add that.

August 13, 200719 yr Plaid for Papa. Just when I tossed out my vintage plaids from 15 or 20 years ago, they came back in style. The new ones are from Aeropostale, Penney's, AE, Old Navy, etc. Abercrombie and Hollister are too expensive. Bad thing is I can't wear loud shirts with them; have to save them for the couple of pairs of solid shorts that I still have.
August 13, 200719 yr Back in the early 90's the madrais shorts were in just like they were back in the 60's or 50's I dont know, maybe some of the OLD GUYS on here can talk about that. Interesting they are making a comeback.
