July 31, 200719 yr sealing his fate. Automatically made me think of the blind singer in Roadhouse. Frightening.
July 31, 200719 yr Stockpiling the bench. So now that awful offense can make more substitutions. They gave away Linebrink for nothing... Yup...
July 31, 200719 yr I have already branded Schuerholz as a fool. If he makes this trade, he should be shot. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This is the funniest thing I've read since you said the Braves wouldn't make the playoffs. You are probably the only person on Earth that would call Schuerholz a fool. Here are some past trades by the "fool" John Rocker: Traded P John Rocker to the Cleveland Indians for P Steve Karsay and P Steve Reed. Immediately helped the Braves bullpen while Rocker fell off the face of the Earth Brad Voyles: Traded P Brad Voyles and 2B Alejandero Machado to Kansas City for SS Rey Sanchez. Sanchez was a very good defensive shortstop for hit the ball ok. Traded OF Brian Jordan, RHP Odalis Perez and minor-league RHP Andy Brown to the Los Angeles Dodgers for OF Gary Sheffield. Guessin he was a fool for makin that trade. Sent Jason Marquis, Ray King and Adam Wainwright to St. Louis in exchange for J.D. Drew and Eli Marrero. Good for the year and after, but Wainwright has became a good starter. Acquired RHP Tim Hudson from Oakland in exchange for RHP Juan Cruz, LHP Dan Meyer and OF Charles Thomas. Can't believe he made that deal. Acquired INF Edgar Renteria and cash considerations from the Red Sox for INF Andy Marte. Wonder how this deal worked out. So yeah I guess he was a fool for not doing anything that helped his team!:thumb:

July 31, 200719 yr Let's get fired up... clap, clap...clap clap clap. Just disproving his thought that JS was a fool!
July 31, 200719 yr They only had to notify MLB Offices by 4:00, a LOT could still come in. Stay tuned...
July 31, 200719 yr I guess Arroyo didnt get traded? Was that a real offer? If so they should have taken it.
July 31, 200719 yr Was that a real offer? If so they should have taken it. I certainly hope so and we took it.
July 31, 200719 yr Does it seem we get teased with these deals season after season and end up virtually the same as always? Or is it vu ja de, the feeling that none of this crap has ever happened before?(Carlin reference)
July 31, 200719 yr You obviously don't know the Braves like you are stating. Listen as a life long Braves fan yes, this may seem like a bad move on the Braves part but it is far from it. Teixeira is a great pickup and I can guarantee you that they make the playoffs now. They now have the best lineup in the NL and with the pickup of Dotel they have another good pitcher in the bullpen. Another thing is that if you were a Braves follower you would know that John Schurholz is probably the best GM in the business and can you name a trade of prospects that have came back to haunt him? I didn't think so, Braves know their farm system. I know how good Harrison and Andrus CAN BE, Andrus is still growing and he isn't all that good right now, it takes time and the Braves want to win now. You know it's funny how bad your dogging the Braves but check this out. This year is the first year in a long time that they've had a really good pick in the draft but somehow they've got one of the best farm systems in baseball, it's because they know what and how to draft players, so expect the Braves to once again draft great talent to develop in their system. So before you go branding the Braves organization you may want to check about what you're saying! I must assume that your lifelong loyalty spans less than 20 years. Your actual knowledge of the organization, top to bottom, is elementary. Let me inquire as to just how much of your opinion is based on first hand observation, information, and direct association and how much is based upon what you read and hear. In other words, how acquainted are you with those in the organization? I suspect that you are not in a position to have any first hand contact. You seem to have a definite opinion concerning the subject players. Just how many of them have you actually seen play? In regard to inside information concerning the Braves's organization and players, you are in over your head. By the way, at the last minute the Rangers slicked your buddy, Schuerholz, out of Beau Jones. The Rangers wouldn't finalize the trade without one more prospect and, since your boy needed to get it done for tonight's game, he surrendered. But, then, you probably know nothing about Beau Jones, do you? Ignorance is bliss.
