^His starting point was a question.:D

What am I going to compare? A RB that defied all kinds of chaos on the way to a SEC title game against one of the most explosive open field talents ever? "Go!" does this topic very little justice... :p

Normally, there's a question. Then there's an answer. Nice pic!

McFadden

Three points that lead me to this conclusion...

1. I think McFadden faced tougher defenses.

2. Everyone knew that McFadden was the man when they played Arkansas...they had a below average passing game, and teams still couldn't stop him.

3. McFadden's versatility.

Slaton, IMO, has more help with Pat White in the same backfield which wouldn't allow defenses to key on him as often as they could McFadden.

I think both are great, great backs in college, so I don't intend this to slight Slaton in the least. I just think McFadden is the better player.

GT is meaning that you didn't give any comparisons to the 2 players that were mentioned. You didn't give any of their stats from last year or anything. So what were we going by. Good topic but just a lackluster way of starting it off!

WOW! Try going by the college football games on saturdays, the teams they play on, bowl games, or even the Heisman voting. It was kind-of self-explanatory don't you think?

Here's some stats:

Slaton

248 Rushes, 1744 yards, 7.0 avg, 16 TD, Longest Run = 65 yds

27 Receptions, 360 yards, 13.3 avg, 2 TD, Longest Rec = 67 yds

McFadden

284 Rushes, 1647 yards, 5.8 avg, 14 TD, Longest Run = 80 yds

11 Receptions, 149 yards, 13.5 avg, 1 TD, Longest Rec = 70 yds

Neither player even fumbled the ball, much less lost one.
