I watch Criss Angel's Mindfreak show any chance I get, and I just have a hard time believing any of it, especially the levetations....How does everybody else feel about his stuff?

:lol: I was just watching the show and got on the computer to try and figure out how he does it. I just watched where the steamroller rolls over him. I'm a bit curious.

Watched one where he got in a barrel that was filled with water and raised in the air. He was also handcuffed. The barrel was to be dropped at I think the 2 minute mark. He made the escape. Very Houdini like. The thing I don't get is there seem to be only a handful of people watching. You'd think he draw better crowds. I did see the one where he levitate from one building to the next. I prefer Blaine when it comes to the street magic.

Growing up around magic my whole life, first with Copperfield, then with Blaine and now Angel, magic hasn't changed. The presentation is what changes, how the trick is done never really changes.

 

What bothers me most about his show is that camera tricks are used, things are staged and then he presents it like he just walks up and does xyz.

 

He isn't the only one, Blaine has done the same thing and hence why a lot of his critics don't like him. I'm not talking about his "endurance" tests, just his regular "street" magic.

 

I could go through all of Angel's "stunts" and go into detail how things were pre-planned. It was a nice illusion with the steamroller, but the people who are interviewed afterward and acting like they just saw Jesus walk into the 7/11 is ridiculous.

Of course it's not "real!" That's why they call it an "illusion." I know Blaine has used camera tricks. I don't believe Chris Angel does this. His illusions can be figured out; but it is extremely difficult -- and isn't that the fun of magic in the first place? Go to see his act in Vegas. Then you can prove to yourself that all this stuff about fake audiences and camera tricks is only...an illusion.

If you look around long enough on youtube you can find out how he does most of his tricks. It's amazing how simple some of them are.Search for Criss Angel Revealed or Criss Angel Explained. Once you see how simple the tricks are you will feel stupid.

 

I know it's fake but I still like the show. Very entertaining.

I saw a real funny advertisement for his show, this military dressed lady gets cut in half, and everybody starts screaming and running when the cut lady takes off walking on her hands! I fell out...

I know there is a logical reason for his stunts, but its one show I make sure I watch each week, and I always say WOW how did he do that, great show.

I like to watch too, I know it can't be real though, but fun to watch.
