Albert Pujols = Diva?

Featured Replies

And Like I said, I never said Lee over a carear, I said over the last 3 years

Why throw out Lee's stinky years in Florida? Pujols doesn't have any such years on the back of his card. :p:D

I'm kind of suprised we have so many comparisons here. I'd take Fat Albert before any of the other players mentioned. ARod would be next. Soriano. Lee and Dunn, you can have them.

Wow, I certainly wouldn't have gone that far.

That's the point I was trying to make. The only players I would even consider putting on Pujols' level are ARod and Vlade.

They're good players. They are not in the company of Pujols and Arod, and yes Vlad.

How does Soriano's numbers match up with Fat Albert?

HSSRB - did Rocket sit in front of us this year at the Cubs game?;)

Re: the game.

If there were two outs and the NL was down by one, why not put Pujols in at that point? You either a)lose - no need to save him b)he wins the game with a hit - no need to save him or c)he walks - tie game - he stays in the game?

That is my thinking as well. More than likely either A or B.

I would probably take A-rod before I'd take Pujols. A-rod has a much better glove and IMO is a better hitter than Pujols. Both players are top of the league no other player can compare to them too, but right now I'd have to take A-rod. Vlad, like others have said, would be next.

Oh, I clearly agree with that. :thumb:

Must have been him. ;):D

With the game on the line, 9th inning, 2 outs, and bases loaded, and if I'm the manager and had to pick between Rowand and Pujols, I'd take Pujols. Albert is clutch in these situations. Anyone remember the home run at Minute Maid Park that kept the Cardinals alive for the NL Pennant? Yea, that was "Fat" Albert.

I think Brad Lidge is vaguely familiar.

If you wanna go by stats then Rowand was the better pick simple as that!

Pujols is still clutch in these situations. And the stats can say whatever. I'll take clutch over stats.
