July 11, 200719 yr Managers know what they're doing before the game even starts. There should be situational replacements. They were up 5-2 in the bottom of the 8th and 9th. They could have easily batted him in one of those 2 innings because at that point it didn't look like the game would be going to extra innings.
July 11, 200719 yr The managers took heat because they used all of their pitchers early and didn't keep back anyone for extra innings. They were crucified for this. That kind of proves everyones point. Why hold back on position players? Leaving Pujols on the bench has nothing to do with pitching. Honestly, I have no problem with the guy showing his displeasure about the situation, and besides that I really don't think its that big a deal. If this is the worst thing Albert Pujols does in his life then he's way ahead of the curve.
July 11, 200719 yr Him and Kobe like 2 peas:D Not really. When you complain about not winning the MVP after you winning the biggest possible thing in your sport then there is something wrong.
July 11, 200719 yr Not really. When you complain about not winning the MVP after you winning the biggest possible thing in your sport then there is something wrong. Ah I was just messing. I was sort of suprised by your disdain for Pujols though. As a staunch defender of a highly critized Kobe, I would think you would see this for what it is.
July 11, 200719 yr This is not that big of a deal and he might have some what of a point but he has done other things.
July 11, 200719 yr This is not that big of a deal and he might have some what of a point but he has done other things. Such as....
July 11, 200719 yr Such as.... The whole MVP thing and he is probably the cockiest player since Rickey Henderson. And you know how sometimes there are people that you just don't like no matter what. Like you are with Kobe. Thats how I am with him for some reason, he just rubs me the wrong way.
July 11, 200719 yr The whole MVP thing and he is probably the cockiest player since Rickey Henderson. 1) He had a great year, he felt he deserved the MVP, I had no problem with it. If Papi would have won the award last year, you don't think there would have been anyone saying that a DH shouldn't win it? 2) He's the best player in the league, until someone comes along that is better, he can be as cocky as he wants. You say you don't like him because he's cocky, but what about Kobe? He's about as cocky as they come...
July 11, 200719 yr And you know how sometimes there are people that you just don't like no matter what. Like you are with Kobe. Thats how I am with him for some reason, he just rubs me the wrong way. As long as you admit it.:thumb: To my credit though, I have been defending Kobe here recently.
July 11, 200719 yr Yeah I knew that was coming and he isn't the best player in the league, at least not this year. Kobe is a different cocky than Albert. I just don't like him, I dk what else to say .
