Albert Pujols = Diva?

Featured Replies

Na, you can keep his 6.2 second 40, I'll take Derrick Lee over Pooholes every day of the week

You don't see 40 times tied to baseball players too often:walk:

Some how I think that if he was wearing a Cubs or Reds uni you guys would feel a little different.

I would agree with that and one of the first examples I can think off the top of my head being a Chicago fan is Albert Belle. Hated him in Cleveland, came to Chicago and he was OUR GUY!

That works with just about any team and I would love to say I would hate Bonds or whomever if they came to my team, but fact is, if they help my team win, I will support them.

  Lee's good, but he's nowhere near Pujols....

:scared:

LEE

OBP: 411

SLG: 479

Both have 1 carear Gold Glove. Very similar players, so lay off the Cardinal Kool Aid when saying he's no where near the player Pujols is...

^I don't like the Cardinals, and am not much of a Pujols fan, but if you look at their careers as a whole, Pujols is the better player.

Over the past 3 seasons they are VERY similar if you dont take into account Lee's injury shortened season last year. I would not take Pujol's for Lee. I think Pujols is SLOW and not as good defensively as Lee

You have to take injuries into consideration though, Lee is more "fragile" than Pujols.

I'll take Dunn over both.

Bartender, I'll have what he's having....

WHAT??? Put down the bottle! Lee's wrist got broke because some idiot ran into him, he didnt hurt his back while running to catch a foul ball...

And since 2000 Lee has played in 158,158,162, 155,161,158 and then 50 games last year, not really a fragile player

No way Lee is better than Pujols. And I started this thread

Lee has missed more games than Pujols.....

Anyways, Lee has had 1 season of 100 RBIs or .300 AVG. and 3 seasons of 30 HRs.

Pujols has done it every single season he's been in the league. Fielding-wise they both have a career 99% fielding percent.

He had 1 season where he had to miss games, not cause he was fragile but because some schmuck ran him over on first base. He didnt hurt him self trying to catch a ball like Pujols. I've never said Lee is better, just that over the past 3 seasons, I see no reason that would make me want Pujols more than Lee. I think Pujols is a better hitter, but not that much that I would want him on my team, he loafs when running bases and is not near the athlete Lee is

I I find it interesting that last year, his trainer was linked to supplying HGH and this year he in the worst HR slump of his career.

He is hitting over .300 with 16 HR and 51 RBI, I think any MLB player that is in a slump would take that at the all-star break.
