July 24, 200719 yr I'm interested in hearing HSSB's post game report. I'll be disappointed in him if he didn't have a few choice words for Jenkins in the top of the 11th.
July 24, 200719 yr You guys didn't even notice my big head in the 3rd row right behind home??? :irked:

July 24, 200719 yr You don't sit up high enough. :sssh: If my avatar was there you would have noticed...
July 24, 200719 yr If my avatar was there you would have noticed... I'm a married man, I don't see things like that anymore. So did you have anything to say to Jenkins when he did his best Craig Biggio?
July 24, 200719 yr I'm a married man, I don't see things like that anymore. So did you have anything to say to Jenkins when he did his best Craig Biggio? It didn't look like he leaned in to it, just held his position. We both agreed with the call...
July 24, 200719 yr It didn't look like he leaned in to it, just held his position. We both agreed with the call... You need to watch the replay. There's no doubt he leaned to it.
July 24, 200719 yr No question about it. If I'm a Reds pitcher, the next time Geoff Jenkins comes to the plate, I drill him with a fastball right between the numbers, and then I yell that's a freaking beanball you little. Well I better not say the rest. Excellent job by Weathers. :thumb: :thumb: I was thinking the same thing.
July 24, 200719 yr You need to watch the replay. There's no doubt he leaned to it. Pulled the leg back (normal reaction) then stuck it back out. Unlike LRCW, who wants his head on a platter, I didn't have a problem with Jenkins' actions.(although I'm always up for a good beanball)
July 24, 200719 yr Great pitching job from all involved tonight, especially Harrang.....excellent :ylsuper:

Unlike LRCW, who wants his head on a platter, I didn't have a problem with Jenkins' actions.(although I'm always up for a good beanball) I can't blame him fpor leaning into the pitch at all - was smart play if you can get by with it.....and he did. The Ump should have called it but that never gets called. I am with LRCW, next time he comes to the plate.......Pluck him. This pitching staff needs to get some " Bob Gibson attitude", Of course I would much rather have a fraction of Gibby's talent on this staff.
July 24, 200719 yr Good to see someone actually pitch past the 7th inning. Reminds me of the 1991 World Series When Smoltz pitched into the 10th I do believe.
July 24, 200719 yr Unlike LRCW, who wants his head on a platter, I didn't have a problem with Jenkins' actions.(although I'm always up for a good beanball) So you're saying that if you were a major league pitcher you wouldn't have a problem with that move?
July 24, 200719 yr So you're saying that if you were a major league pitcher you wouldn't have a problem with that move? Problem? Maybe but I also might just tip my hat and say "smart move" and take it as a sign of respect - "I can't hit this guy so I'll make sure I get in the way." If I was a pitcher, I'd have much more of a problem with guys that take too long to get in the box or that cross the line of showing me up when they go yard.
