Bailey Staying in Triple-A For Now

Wayne could've saved himself the embarrasment and called me months ago...

"Command was the issue," player development director Terry Reynolds said. "He couldn't put it where he wanted to. He was also up in the strike zone a lot."

No kidding, why would anyone think that would change in the show?

That was the first time in Cox's 22 years that he has pulled a starter before recording an out without an injury being present. Useless trivia.

The last Braves' starter to be pulled, without an injury, before recording an out was Len Barker in 1985...also against those mashing Redlegs.

Livingston with a great outing and maybe makes the decision easier to not rush Homer back up here.

He got himself out of trouble a few times. When he pitches he gives up a lot of baserunners and doesn't strike a lot of people out. He's a few "bad breaks" away from getting shelled for a few starts. I agree that he needs to get the ball at least a few more times, but he's very hittable.

^ That's the one thing he needs to work on.

Livingston was very hittable last night and the Braves just couldn't capitalize. Andruw Jones came up with the bases loaded twice, and with runners on the corners once.

Sadly I turned on the tv today and guess what was on... A stupid replay of last nights game!

Question: The relief pitcher that came in for the Braves in the 1st. Had he gone on to win the game with no relief, would he get credit for a complete game?

I dunno, I would say no just because he didn't start the game. Like he didn't face the first batter so I would guess not. Interesting question though. I may be wrong, I mean it would be the first time so....

I agree, there is a reason why he has bounced back and forth from the minors and majors. At this point any Reds pitcher that can get a win is a great, great thing.

Today's line-up:

Freel cf

Keppinger ss

Griffey rf

Phillips 2b

Dunn lf

Conine 1b

Encarnacion 3b

Ross c

Arroyo p

While Lopez has been nasty defensively at SS, I like seeing Keppy picking up some AB's while Gonzo is gone.

Useless trivia.

.

If it were useful, could it be considered trivia?

No.

I wonder if Livigston will be available to pinch hit? :D

4-4 at the plate last night!

Jo-Jo Reyes pinch hit in the 2nd inning last night and got a hit. It was his first career hit also. So maybe tonight will be the Braves night for good pitching and good hitting by the pitcher.
