July 16, 200719 yr Salty is at first tonight. Renteria ALWAYS kills the Reds, so you have that in the bag. Andruw can't be this horrible all year, might as well break out against the Redlegs. Funny you should say that because I just seen a stat about Andruw and the Reds. Andruw Jones has 28 career homeruns against the Reds and that's the most against any team outside the NL East.
July 16, 200719 yr Some interesting Reds' stats... * Brandon Phillips has scored 63 runs in the 130 times he’s reached base – 48%, 5th best in the NL. * Adam Dunn has scored 57 runs in the 133 times he’s reached base – 43%, 12th best in the NL * Adam Dunn has seen 1,567 pitches in his 372 plate appearances – 4.21 pitches per PA, 2nd best in the NL
July 16, 200719 yr Saltalamacchia is a throwback to the Braves days of Biff Pocoroba and Bill Naharodney

July 16, 200719 yr Some more stats for tonights game against the Reds. Braves rank 7th in the NL with a .265 batting average against left-handed pitchers. Braves rank 2nd in the NL with 39 homeruns against left-handed pitching. Should be a decent game tonight. Probably a hitters day more than anything.
July 16, 200719 yr Author Bobby is already penciled in for Saturday so who knows whats up with Homer. When asked about Homers waning velocity, Krivsky stated that velocity was overrated. Thats the GM talking about his young stud power pitcher:confused: What the heck:creepy:

July 16, 200719 yr Wouldn't surprise me if Homer is injured or tweaked something. We will know something sooner or later, but I wouldn't be surprised if they end up shutting him down the rest of the year, get him ready for next year.
July 16, 200719 yr Author Wouldn't surprise me if Homer is injured or tweaked something. We will know something sooner or later, but I wouldn't be surprised if they end up shutting him down the rest of the year, get him ready for next year. That would be par for the Reds season. Also par for Krivsky when it comes to addressing issues. Either he has no clue, or hides the fact he has a clue very well:rolleyes:

Either he has no clue, or hides the fact he has a clue very well:rolleyes: We all heard the interview with Bob, apparently confusion seems to run rampant in the front office. The pre-game show mentioned Valentin has hit over 300 in his career against Atlanta. 3 home runs and 9 RBI'S. I'm guessing that is why they are hitting him ahead of E-5.
July 16, 200719 yr Author I think it might be a good idea. He got lit up in his AAA start. AVG 91-93 MPH?
