August 24th, SW vs. Rock in the early game SHS vs. PC in the nightcap.

I'll probably be down for the games.

I was hoping to Coach again this year but with the job. No way that is going to be possible!

I can understand that. I'm going to try and make sure I'm in town for the game. I should be working in Knoxville that week so it won't be too hard to get back in. If you come down PM me and we'll try and tailgate or something. Have a good vacation.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks I'll try to.

We will miss you on the sideline Warrior 2000...:thumb:

KHSAA website is showing Somerset at Metcalfe County on Friday, August 31 and still showing the Jumpers playing Mercer County the next night. What gives?

Does anyone know if Somerset's field is going to be ready for week 1 yet or not?

I had someone check with Somerset's AD today: Somerset is not playing Mercer Co. The game was talked about but not agreed upon, they will be playing Metcalfe Co. I think the schedule is missing the District game with Jackson Co.

The game was agreed upon by Mercer, they have the game scheduled to be played at Somerset. If the game is not played ,it isn't because Mercer backed out.

You think Somerset is going to play Metcalfe Co. on Fri. then Mercer Co. on sat. lol That wont happen and it wont be that Mercer Co. backed out .....

I didn't say anything about Mercer Co. backing out. The person that talked to the AD said that Somerset was playing Metcalfe and that the contract between Mercer and Somerset wasn't ever signed.

Mercer agreed 2 months ago to play at Somerset.Somerset called Metcalf last friday and broke the verbal agreemnt to play Mercer. Mercer just found out today ,July 15th.

Call Henry Clay. They're open on the last week of the season, just as Mercer County is, and only have nine games scheduled at this point. That would be a really good matchup between two of the better teams in the state of Kentucky.

good luck to mercer co. from your friends at russell

Yeah, I'm going to miss seeing Russell in the playoffs now. Good luck to you guys in 3A.

I'll bet the Coca-Cola distributorships across the state that print the football wall schedules you see in the grocery stores and barber shops have the Goody's Headache powder people on speed dial.
