Then when he walked in the bathrooma and nothing happened I was like, duh that has to be the worst ending ever.

So your eight month old was watching the sopranos with you? Has she seen Saw III yet too?:lol:

There is going to be some sort of return for the sopranos either another season or movie. Philly took it rough. The kid puking was classic.

Very bad ending, so bad that I believe there will be more Sopranos. Not just a movie, but another season. The song playing in the background ("Don't Stop Believing") almost guarantees it.

 

I was like everyone else, I was watching on DVR, about 15 minutes behind regular time, and thought my DVR cut off early. I was very disappointed (except about Phil getting it).

Seriously, was the writer like "I've got an idea for the best ending ever, I'll show em eating onion rings and trying to paralell park, yea thats entertainment"

Well just like you guys, except I was at work last night, I didn't listen to any radio shows on the way the home, ran in the door turned on the TV and my DVR and watched it and when the screen went blank, I was cussing Time Warner and my DVR then I seen the credits running and thought " You gotta be kidding me" .

Well if they are any movies, they better announce them today. LOL

I reiterate: a guy on MSNBC just said that you have to look at the credits to see WHO exactly was in the restaurant. He said a relative of Phil was there. He said that the black guys who walked in were the ones who tried to off Tony at Junior's behest in season two. I think he said that the FBI was there. We have to look at the credits to see what this convergence at the restaurant was all about, and what could happen.

What a let down.... I suppose there was a ton of symbolism there but I really was hoping more for some ACTION! I was aware of the folks in the bar... didn't change my opinion. Maybe it should have ended with Tony waking up in bed with Bob Newhart.

Everyone has to be cheated by this, but hopefully there may be a movie coming along. Otherwise organize into an angry mob!

It left a lot up to each person's own interpretation and imagination.

 

I think that some of the people in the restaurant had previously had roles on the show and were there to keep the audience guessing and on edge until the very end and beyond.

I wonder if thats it or if another season will come or a movie? Was there an official statement this was the SERIES finale or was it all speculation

Well I was watching "First Take on ESPN" and Jay Crawford said (and I have heard this also) that was possibly 3 to 5 endings filmed and David Chase may release all of the endings on DVD with the Final Season and then all viewers could decide for themselves on how they would like the Soprano's would end.

The Hollywood mafia in the end was more powerful than the New Jersey mafia. The Don at HBO smelled money in a potential movie down the road and ordered the hit on Tony to be called off...

I liked that ending personally...I loved the last few minutes...the music kept building and they filmed it in a way that made you think someone in that restaurant was going to whack Tony. I thought they did a great job of creating that feeling of "looking over your shoulder". It was very tense. Tony getting killed would have been too obvious and a bad ending, IMO. I thought it was classic.
