It's a dented and scratched hood. At the most extreme end of it, he only needs to send the hood over to get fixed, not the entire car.

There are Ferrari dealerships in the US. There are also repair shops here that specialize in repair and restoration of foreign exotics.

 

I'd think it would be cheaper to fly the repairman here from Italy than to ship the car there.

I think you would have to at least have some sort of intent to be charged with criminal mischief. And what kind of a moron drives a 1.5 million dollar car around to run errands in. First of all my car would not be parked on the street. Heck, I wouldn't even want to pull it out of the garage.

What a moron for driving the car into that part of town to begin with. My question is, what the heck is someone who is driving a million dollar plus car doing parking it at 9th & Washington in Newport. :mad: Shame on the Newport police and the Jugde if they find this boy guilty of anything. I know my company, if something like this happens, we go ahead and fix the car and if the person has anything we subrogate for what we pay out plus the deductible, however in a case like this you just have chalk it up to a loss. I cant even imagine how high that guys premiums are on that car. Most likely has an agreed value policy and theres no way any insurance company would pay to ship that car to Italy to be fixed.

The owner was probably in the neighborhood bar that is at the corner of 9th and Washington . I don' think that it has off street parking .

I'm really feeling this guy's pain. And in order to help him out, I'm willing to pay him $10 a pound to scrap his car. That's about 10 times the going rate.
