Tough position to put Isler into since he has only pitched 6-8 innings since returning from surgury.

The Raiders are going to have to start playing the last inning first...some of us are getting older and can't take the stress. We are so proud of the kids, there is just no quit in them. The Cov Cath players and fans that I have known and recently met have to be proud of their ability to play and support the great game of baseball, they are a class act.

 

For the young man who may have tried to do to much by catching and throwing the fly ball and let it get away, if you never made an error, you never played the game.

 

For the seniors moving on, there is not one kid on that field that played his last game of baseball. Maybe not in blue pinstripes, but bright futures for all.

 

Also, congrats to our Lady Raiders, they are moving on as well.

Anybody know how many pitches Nutini threw in his 6 innings. Maybe this was possibly the reason??

Sure didn't seem like too many to me. He got into a grove early, had one tough inning, and then settled in again.

If I remember correctly, Ryle went 3 up, 3 down in the 6th.

 

As for my best coach comment, that was just my personal opinion!

Congrats to the Raiders Players, and Coaches. The best Team won the game, but Cov Cath has nothing to be ashamed of. I am certain the Colonels will be right there again next year, and beyond.

It's always easy to second guess even the best of coaches.

 

 

 

Yes it is...But Krumps is a very good Baseball Coach. You have to go with your gut sometimes, and even the best Coaches don't go 100% with every decision they make.

Anyone know what Region MVP O'Hara's stats were for the tourney? I'm sure he deserved it, but must admit it did catch me off guard initially when first announced, as he had a rather rough defensive 6th inning (passed ball and error) in tonight's game. I believe he hit well agaisnt Ludlow, but can't remember what he did in Beechwood game.
