Colonels give up 4 in the bottom of the 7th. Good game, and good luck to Ryle.

Hard to take for Cov, Cath because of their great performance up to the point of the 7th. Ryle just found a way to win tonight

Why coach Krumps pulled Nutini the starting pitcher is beyond me. I would say this loss goes on the coach. No disrespect to Ryle. They still had to win the game. Good luck to the Raiders. I will be pulling for you.

I agree, Nutini pitched a heck of a game

Congrats to Ryle for finding a way. Go get em at state!

The unanswered question for this game will obviously be WHY the best coach in the region pulled the Nutini kid? He wasn't in any trouble, had the 6/7/8th batters coming up. If he gets in trouble, pull him but replace him w/Niehouse, IMO.

The non-interference call at third w/no outs and the runner getting tagged out at the plate came back to haunt the Colonels.

Nothing against Ryle, great come back. Either team would have represented the 9th well.

The swing of momentum and emotions in this game was nothing short of unreal. Some sloppy plays and some great plays on both sides. It is rather obvious that these are indeed the top two teams in NKY and will likely stay that way for a few years given that the same two schools played for the JV championship also.

While thrilled to death that Ryle pulled out this win, I can't help but feel miserable for CC's left fielder. I'll bet he catches that ball 999 times out of a 1000 and it was just a freak thing. There's so much pressure on these guys, especially playing in a minor league stadium in front of 2000 people. I hope that his teammates and all the CC's fans help lift this young man's spirits and let him know that, despite feeling like the weight of the world is on his shoulders, life will go on and the sun will indeed shine again and that he will make many, many good plays that will more than compensate for this minor miscue. Hang in there #40!l

Everyone sitting around me had the same thought as you 3ptshooter. After the way Nutini was throwing in the 6th we couldn't imagine what Krumps was doing. If he came out and got in trouble OK, but this move made no sense. Maybe Nutini told the coach he was done?? Guess we will find out in the following days from the players. Once agin congrats to the Raiders.

That was Skylar Stein #40. And your right he makes that catch 999 out of 1000 times. Great kid. He helped the Colonels win alot of games this years with his glove and his bat.

It's always easy to second guess even the best of coaches.

I think that 21 years of 20 win seasons certainly puts you right up with the best if not THE best.

Hard to question a decision by Coach Krumps but tonight may be one of the few times you have to do it.

Congrats Ryle and great season to Cov Cath. I'm sure we'll be hearing plenty more from both these schools in the years to come.

I saw Stein play a few times this year and he is a good ball player. That can happen to anyone and I am sure he will bounce back from this. Let's be honest it all can't be on his shoulders, there was more than a few plays that were crucial to the outcome of this game.

The Raiders are going to have to start playing the last inning first...some of us are getting older and can't take the stress. We are so proud of the kids, there is just no quit in them. The Cov Cath players and fans that I have known and recently met have to be proud of their ability to play and support the great game of baseball, they are a class act.

For the young man who may have tried to do to much by catching and throwing the fly ball and let it get away, if you never made an error, you never played the game.

For the seniors moving on, there is not one kid on that field that played his last game of baseball. Maybe not in blue pinstripes, but bright futures for all.

Also, congrats to our Lady Raiders, they are moving on as well.
