May 30, 200719 yr The MJ/Bron comparison is junk. Magic is the player most like Bron and Magic did pretty well at a young age... I hate the comparison as well, although I do think Bron ends up with multiple rings before it's all said and done.
May 30, 200719 yr I haven't seen Lebron being able to run the fastbreak or pass like Magic. Don't get me wrong, he is a good passer, but not like Magic. I do think Lebron is a better scorer than Magic. Bron doesn't have what Magic had on the break as well. When you don't get to run, it's hard to look like Show Time...
May 30, 200719 yr I liked Lebron before but am really becoming a bigger fan of his in this series. Also, Rasheed Wallace despite all of the crap he does, is a very good player that has hit some big shots for the Pistons. Think he gets into the HOF?

Webber is a career 20/10 guy and I don't think he gets in... By that precedent Wallace, a career 15/7 guy, has NO business in the hall.
May 30, 200719 yr Author NOW you can say the Cavs are back in the series. They get a break here or there in the first two games, who knows what this series might look like. All the pressure on Detroit I would think, since they are the favorites, have home court and are supposed to be the more "experienced" of the two. Should set up for an interesting finish.
May 30, 200719 yr I forgot who said it but I thought it was a pretty good comparison for LBJ. Karl Malone's body with a bit of Magic. The scary thing about him is he's still a few years from entering his prime, at this point when I watch him I'm not always confident when it leaves his hands from long range that it's a sure thing, but I think that day will come and when/if it does I would hate to be his opponent. I personally think the Pistons are the better team but they haven't shown it this series but they still have at least 2 games to prove they are the EC champs.
May 30, 200719 yr The other thing about him was in the postgame conference he sounded great. He was coherent making good points about the Cavs game and what they needed to do in Detroit. There wasn't a lot of umms, the word like and references that did not sound professional. It sounded like an interview that a 15-year veteran would give and not a still young NBA kid.

May 30, 200719 yr I think if LeBron played more like Wade he would be unstoppable. He settles for jumpers way too much and that part of his game hasn't yet developed to a point where he can rely on it to get the job done. He needs to drive the lane a lot more than he does, and develop some confidence in his FT.

People get too tied up in the LB/MJ comparison, but as GT says a more comparable player is Magic Johnson. Magic though when he was 21 years young threw up 42 and 20 in the playoffs. James is good. but I don't think he is nearly as good as many think he is. Would he average more than 21 if he played in the Western Conference. As for the game....the officiating in the NBA is what drives me nuts. No consistency. Zero. Last night I saw the Jazz get whisteled for three fouls in 20 seconds. Tonight. no calls against Detroit that were fouls on the other end. Then you got Chauncey Billups shaving points. Turnover, idiotic three point attempt....

Had LEbron played one year of college ball, that team would have won the national championship hands down. OJ is still maturing and makes high school mistakes that we ddin't see Lebron make as a senior.
