Cuban cigars are available through many venues without getting them directly from Cuba or traveling there to pick them up. Therefore, IMO, one does not have to show outright support for Fidel and his regime to get them. Besides, many feel that the embargo is ridiculous as it has affected no change in the status quo there and the only ones hurt have been the people of the country.

The attempt to compare Cuban medical availability to the US is nothing more than providing Fidel with a propaganda opportunity. As a Cuban friend of mine said, after hearing about this, "Is Michael Moore bringing all of the sheets, soap, and food required for patients? I hope so, because those things are not provided by the State Hospital."
