MOORE CHALLENGES THOMPSON TO DEBATE

Michael Moore has challenged Fred Thompson to a health care debate. At issue -- Moore's trip to Cuba and Thompson's criticism of that trip. Moore noted Thompson's evident favor for Cuban cigars as a possible violation of the trade embargo.

Outstanding. It makes me even more proud to drive a vehicle with a "Fred Thompson in 2008" bumper sticker on it. If traditional conservatives have any hope of winning the 2008 election, those hopes rest with Fred Thompson.

I think he will run, only negative I have ever heard was that he was mixed up with Lori Morgan. But then again so was Troy Aikman.

 

Moore is an idjit, he thought his last little movie would sway the election and it did not. I'm sure he has a new one in the works for '08. I will admit that I did like two parts in Roger & Me. One where the woman is raising and killing rabbits in her back yard secretly, and eating them. The next best part is where Al Sharpton (?) is going around evicting people on Christmas day in Detroit. (if you saw the movie you know who I am talking about)

I love the response! Maybe Michael should think about the freedom's he enjoys before he bashes the country he lives in...especially when his "documentaries" tend to be full of half truths and unsubstantiated innuendo.

Cuban cigars are available through many venues without getting them directly from Cuba or traveling there to pick them up. Therefore, IMO, one does not have to show outright support for Fidel and his regime to get them. Besides, many feel that the embargo is ridiculous as it has affected no change in the status quo there and the only ones hurt have been the people of the country.
