May 4, 200719 yr It is also reported that Hancock was talking on his cell phone when the accident happened. He was driving 68 in a 55 mph zone. Also, around 8 grams of marijuana was found in the vehicle. So it seems alcohol may not have been the only contributing factor in this accident.

Can one say LaRussa set a bad example, made a mistake...YES, but Hancock certainly made his own decision, which resulted in his life. Other than same team, not logical to connect in my book.

May 4, 200719 yr I still don't and probably never will understand why professional athletes with tons of money can't call a cab....or someone...Amen, my friend....I believe the status, money and "I'm invincible" feeling, change minds and lead, to horrible tragedies like Hancock. LaRussa, made a terrible choice and one never know, but could have resulted in a similar instance. Has LaRussa tarnished his reputation, without question and he help himself accountable, which doesn't absolve him. Hancock, will not get a second chance....
