No. It's pronounced with the t instead of d......

Right. In other words, it's the same, just an alternate spelling.

That certainly can't hurt UK's chances.

Maybe he can get a package deal - Warren and Jennings.

Pop quiz time. Who was the Oak Hill coach before Steve Smith...

So UC has a better chance at all Oak Hill grads because their Assoicate Head Coach use to coach there?

And how many Oak Hill grads did he get while coaching at Furman, or as an assistant at Minnesota?

Oak Hill players are a bit above Furman. Question away on Davis, but he's been as big as Mick on the recruiting trail. He has direct ties to Oak Hill, and now has an avenue to a program worthy of Oak Hill players. I guess only time will tell...

You may be right, but your original post made it sound like it gave UC an advantage over UK.

Both are in good with Warren, and both have direct ties to Oak Hill. I'd say it does little for either in his recruitment though. Willie is very hard to read...

It is more important/advantageous to have players on your roster who have come from Oak Hill than it is a coach. For example, Alex Legion.

Steve Smith has sent so many kids to different programs, I would say that is a wash. If any major programs had issues with the way Smith handled things then they would direct people away from there. That doesn't seem to be the case.

One funny story...Steve Smith called Tubby about Rondo when he was there. Tubby asked Smith if he (Rondo) was good enough to play at UK.

I still think Jennings is a longshot for UK. Jennings has AZ and UConn at the top of his list, but UK is lurking. AZ may be close to getting a verbal from Larry Drew, another top flight PG. UConn is angling to land Jennings, with Samardo Samuels, and Ed Davis. Jennings is friends with a former lefty of UConn...Marcus Williams.

Only because you say so little. And who was it that nailed Patterson to UK 36 hours before the presser??? :p
I said Billy D. wasn't coming to UK 2 weeks before it happened. When EVERYONE else was saying it was a done deal.
