April 23, 200719 yr I think ol Willie probably got caught up in the moment regarding UK. I'd say Kansas and UK are in strong positions at this point.
April 23, 200719 yr There is also a chance that J'Mison Morgan will join these two at the next level. With the weight he's dropped recently these three would be a major recruiting coup IMO... I don't think you will see all 3 end up at the same school. Possibly two. Very seldom do package deals really ever materialize. We may see one start to happen this week. Clarke has seemingly improved but is he a 2 or a 1?
April 23, 200719 yr Author Have also heard that Warren was ready to commit to UK now, but his mother doesnt want him to rush into anything, so he is going to wait until the end of summer to make a decision. Unless things change I think UK leads at this point for his services. Warren is wide open according to my guy that talked to him this weekend. UK is in no way shape or form his leader at this point...

April 23, 200719 yr Author "I really don't know where I'm at in my recruitment," said Warren. "I'm really stuck right now. I just don't know where I'm at. It's really hard to say right now what schools are in the mix." Sounds like a UK lean to me...

Sounds like a UK lean to me... Question: Willie Warren's scout.com profile doesn't have Kentucky or Texas A&M (Gillispie connection) on his list of possible college choices, so what has changed his mind? Response: Corey after talking with Willie at length on Saturday about UK and coach Gillispie, he's SERIOUSLY considering the Wildcats. He told me he liked UK's program but when coach Gillispie went there, "they went high up on my list." My take on the Warren situation is he wants to go ahead and commit now, but his mom wants him to wait until at least after the summer. I think UK is the leader right now. Question: do u think uk will get brandon jennings and willie warren and darious miller? Or do you think which one's will come to uk u think .. thanks ! write back please. Response: John Michael, I think UK will get Willie Warren and I think they are in good shape to also land Darius Miller. I still think USC is the leader and UK likely the third or fourth pick for Jennings but we shall see. You have to remember with Jennings is that he's likely only going to be at whatever school he attends for a year before going to the NBA. Warren has those skills also but might be a two-year guy! Jodie Demling seems to think he's UK's to lose. Your source may have better info. http://www.courier-journal.com/blogs/demling/blog.html
April 23, 200719 yr Author The thing about Willie is he loves being recruited and he loves talking to reporters even more. Following the kid for a year I've learned it's best to read interviews on him done by people not asking about a specific school. In Houston this weekend he said he doesn't even have a list and he needs to narrow things down. I don't think he expected the flood of interest when he reopened his recruitment and he really has no clue at this point. UK has as good a chance as any at landing him, but there is no leader at this point...
April 24, 200719 yr Author Here's another quote to a national recruiting guy... "I don't really have a list of schools and I'm wide-open," he added. "Me and my mom are going to try to get my list to a top five and then we will consider visits when I cut my list of schools down to five. Right now, I don't have a top 10, 15 or 20. I am wide-open."
May 6, 200719 yr Yeah, I read that his main three were UK, Kansas and Oklahoma, and OK wants both him and the Clarke. I think getting Legion probably bumped them back a bit.
