Does Highlands have any chance to...

Featured Replies

Toothpick: You are exactly right, 2006 was 2006. On to 2007, which looks to be the year of the Ram.

I fully expect Highlands to be a formidable opponent, who will push TM, as usual when you get good teams playing each other.

Honestly I think many Highlands and NKY fans are thinking that since TM is not Elder/Colerain/X/Moeller that it somehow means Highlands will win rather easily. But I must say that TM is turning a corner much like Coletain did, under Coombs. TM has been a slepping Giant for years in Dayton.

Dayton gets over shadowed by Cincinnati when you talk Southwest Ohio Football. However when Cincy teams come to Dayton to play Dayton teams they lose. Including Elder/X/Moeller/LaSalle. All beaten by Dayton teams in Dayton. And Colerain has lost the last 2 times in Dayton they have played to Columbus teams.

If you have not noticed those schools DO NOT come to Dayton to play.

Wow Ram. In noway shape or form does this Highlands fan think for a second that "Highlands will win rather easily". On the contrary. This is a top notch team to go against and I don't think Highlands is looking at it as anything different than playing a Colrain, Elder, Cov. Cath. De LaSale, or the Ky. State Championship game. TM will be a very tough opponent.

Also, Ram Attack, what is the formal name of Trotwood-Madison. Is it hyphenated, like the way I just wrote it?

Yes it is Hyphenated. Trotwood-Madison. We are actually called the Runnin' Rams BUT as you will see that name is not acurate of our offense. LOL

But we do go by Rams. But the old timers say Runnin Rams Still.

Not exactly sure what in any prior post would lead you to think that. I don't recall a single post indicating anyone believes that. On the contrary I believe some posters think TM will have an easy win. I personally think it will be a dogfight so to answer thread question yes, Highlands does have a chance to win.

Yeah, I know. I looked back and I did not see anything. Something was off, but It was probably everyone just assuming TM is a team fo undisciplined kids who have a ton of talent but somehow don't play as a team.....LOL

Our rivals, Northmont, always has stuff like that to say. Its very aggravating. How soon they foget the years where we rolled them up and they were going 0-10, 0-10, 2-8, 3-7, 1-9. Thats probably where that comes from. I guess I am like a Vietnam Veteren with stuff like that......LOL

You Highlands fans should sign our website guestbook, Post Here

That way we can have something from other parts that our people can read. Its pretty cool. Except for the Northmont/Piqua fans posting racial stuff on there.

I believe Highlands has the chance to win in every game they play in.

I'm pretty sure Male is the winningest team in KY history.

What's really cool is that, of the nation's winningest football programs:

Male is #3

Highlands is #5

Mayfield is #8

Paducah-Tilghman is #17

Danville is #20

Owensboro is #35

I didn't realize that. That's great!

If TM has all of those problems with special teams, then HHS could beat them. The HHS teams I remember have had tremendous special teams play.

Hopefully tremendous will be an applicable term for HHS special teams this year. I don't think that adjective fit for last years squad.

TM's special teams issues were last year ONLY. The past years TM has had impecible special teams. So last season was just one of those years, instead of the norm. I am sure they will have their stuff in order this year.

I am just wondering what is Highlands record versus Ohio Teams under Coach Mueller?

I know they have played some big time programs very tough in recent years!

I defeinitely agree that they are not afraid to step up and play anybody!!!

Hopefully so. Sounds like its gonna be a great game. Dayton does have alot of talent and some sleeper programs. When will the tickets go on sale for the game?

Not sure if its been posted on here but;

WR/TE - Brandon Moore Committed to Michigan. And will also play some DE this season as well.

WR - Roy Roundtree Committed to Purdue. And Will also be playing some FS this season as well at different times.

RB - Michael Shaw is down to three schools. Penn State, Michigan, and Tennessee. With Nebraska on the outside. All have offered. Look for a committment soon.

DT/OL - Ike Washington will be committing to Purdue in the next week or 2.

And QB Domonick Britt will be choosing between UC and WVU. And should decide soon as well. And the same for Jamiihr Williams LB. Look for them to go to the same spot.
