gchs_uk9
They lost a great deal of power hitting from last year's team. Earl Weaver loved the "three-run homer" and UK did last year as well. This team he some good contact guys, but often they have to manufacture innings. That makes it tough. Add to that that starting right fielders and Cape Cod player Collin Cowgill hasn't touched the field yet and you have a recipe for struggling. They still have a good record and have the potential to make the NCAA tournament. I really think, though, that they need to finish in the top 8 in the SEC and qualify for the SEC tournament in order to make the NCAA.

NineOh
Missing Cowgill is absolutely killer for the BatCats. Apparently if he doesn't play this weekend against Vandy, which I see no reason that he would, he's going to get a medical redshirt for the year. A bad loss, though. SouthernSportsFan
From what I understand, Kentucky didn't use their "pitchers" on this game like Louisville did.

Lunatic1
Nice win for UL. This series hasn't been very close lately. I believe with this win UL has won 2 out of the last 9. Will they play again this season.
