West has 5 4A teams. East has 3. It makes sense and evens out in the end.

Its not a big deal, but Cov used to be in the west.

Popham PK, and Bleser QB/P playing will depend on how the CovCath Baseball season goes. I am sure that a couple of more gentlemen from some other school will be doing the same thing.....

 

I know this happened last year to the West team. Muth of Beechwood was supposed to be their starting QB but was playing in the state tournament that day so he didn't get to play.

It has varied in the end. I think 5 from a school is suppossed to be the most. But sometimes schools send only 1 or 2 depending on other circumstances like baseball or senior trips or playing on other all-star games etc.

 

It's up to the coaches who are coaching the team. I know Newport coached the East last year and had 6 and the year before that Holmes coaches coached and had 6 or 7.

 

Every team has to have atleast 1 representative though. Holmes only had 1 last year and Dayton only had 2.

Newport coached the East last year my friend. Holmes was 2 years ago. So 2 out of the last 3 years he's coached it.

Mike Sharp should be in TOMMY Brittons spot he is a better player on the ol.

Well maybe. But when I played in the all star game for the west, our starting QB was a QB who was a backup QB for his team in high school I believe, and we still won. We was just loaded everywhere, and so not having a QB really didn't make much of a difference, except for the score being closer. Also the storm we played in that day also kept the score closer...

Thats an honorable 5 too bad they couldnt squeeze Egan in there as well.

Wasn't there one year that the game ended in a tie? Maybe in 88? Can some of the oldtimers recall this game?

 

I was a junior that year, I believe it also ended in an all out brawl. I had the tape of that game for years, a buddy who played in that let me watch it and I forgot to give it back. Pretty wild fight at the end and they called the game with it tied I think.
