I believe Tubby had a winning record against each. In fact, wasn't Tubby the ONLY one of Pitino's proteges to beat him?

With that win and his other wins over division 2 and 3 schools we had winning seasons. Way to go TUBBY.

Why do you wish to keep going on about this Tubby thing. I know I was one of the biggest Tubby supporters out there, yet it is over with now. This whole thing just needs to come to a rest. Tubby is at a place that he will be respected and wanted like he deserves, and now we have a coach who also i a great coach like Tubby and might be even a better fit for UK and actually might have the UK fans arguing with other teams fans all the time instead of with each other now like we have the last two years. This whole thing ended up being whats best for both parties involved. I know I was arguing with people all the time still about Tubby, but now we got a new coach and its just time to move on...

I agree but find it hard to let a classy individual with a great success record have to take shot after shot that is unreasonable.

BTW, on the issue of Billy G, I have not yet voted because as I have stated, I know nothing of him so I don't know whether to be happy or not.

 

The more I read, the more I feel it is a good gamble. Not sure happy is the word, but if they are going to gamble on a coach, it seems to be a good gamble with positives attached to it.

Like I said in an earlier thread, when Billy D returns to Rupp next season, he will be booed...Write it down.

I dont know if he will be booed but he wont get cheers like he has in the past.

Great hire for UK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give him a little time to fix Tubby's mess and all will be good again! And with his record he may not need much time!

I really liked the answer he gave to Jerry Tipton's question about grumbling and pressure!! He seems to have a great personality and I liked the way he handled the press. I believe we got a quality coach and am actually looking forward to next season,now. Win or lose,I believe we will see a team that leaves it all on the court! We need to be patient next season and give him a chance!!! From what I've seen,I believe the patience will be worth it!!

I think it was "Hands On Originals" on Broadway. But I'm not positive.

Why would you boo a guy that showed loyalty to his team and school. He has built something there and wants to stay. It's not a slap at UK, it's loyalty to Florida. I respect him for staying.

I'm very happy about Billy G. He's never won a title so he's got something to shoot for. What would Billy D have to prove at KY? Billy G is the right man, IMO.
