April 5, 200719 yr We've all stated who we would like to see as the next UK coach, who do we not want ? Out of the serious candidates let's hear who you don't want the next coach to be and why.

April 5, 200719 yr I do not want Gillepsie or Rick Barnes. Cats Pause.com has the net three canidates in line for the job are Barnes, Gillepsie, and Pelphrey. In an earlier post I said I dont think he has the coaching credentials yet and I still believe that. If it is up to those 3 though I would rather have Pelphrey, he would bring a passion to UK Basketball that hasn't been around since the Rick Pitino days and the early years of Tubby.
April 5, 200719 yr Author 4 posts so far and no one has agreed on one candidate who they wouldnt want. I already feel sorry for the next coach, everyone fell in love with Donovan and the majority of fans arent going to be near happy with anyone else. Cant feel too bad for the guy though, I could never feel bad for someone that was going to make a few million a year, no matter how much pressure they deal with.
April 5, 200719 yr I have a hard time taking Matta serious, since he looks so much like a Goblin. Never liked goblins very much.
April 5, 200719 yr No way, I will name a coach but offer styles.... I hope it's a coach, who likes to play defense. Emphasizes post play and forwards, being involved on the offensive end. Has a PG, that breaks down defenses and dribble penetrates. Has depth, in the front court. Up tempo style and like to push the ball, when the option is there.
April 5, 200719 yr I am not yet sold on him as a coach. I understand that he has turned Texas A&M around but I am just not impressed with him as a coach. Does he have thick enough skin to coach at Kentucky? I have posted this numerous times if I were going after a coach now though it would be Mark Few.
April 5, 200719 yr I really dont want Crean. I am also a fan of Izzo, but I dont know if he is a great fit or not either.
