What about Big John Thompson he won a title

I gave him some props as an honorable mention. Never liked him personally.

I think Little John is the better coach. His adaptation of the Princeton offense is nice.

Wooden

Rupp

Knight

Smith (Dean,mind you!!!)

Coach K.

i would throw Huggy bear out there cuz he knew how to win

You have Tubby in ur top 15? Are you serious ? This is a coach who has made double digit loss seasons at Kentucky a constant trend. I think you need to re-think that one. He won one championship with Pitino's players? Tubby is an underachiever.

Wooden

Rupp

Knight

Coach K

The next list would be:

Rick Pitino

Roy Williams

Billy Donovan

Denny Crum

Jim Boehim

(One fault I have with my list is obviously the lack of knowledge about some of the older coaches)

Wooden - His teams won 665 games in 27 seasons and 10 NCAA titles during his last 12 seasons, including 7 in a row from 1967 to 1973. His UCLA teams also had a record winning streak of 88 games, four perfect 30-0 seasons, and won 38 straight games in NCAA Tournaments.

Dean Smith - 879 wins in 36 years of coaching, 2nd most in men's college Division I basketball history behind Bobby Knight. Adolph Rupp's 876 wins came after 41 years of coaching. - 11 Final Fours - Two national championships (1982, 1993) - Most Division I 20-win seasons, with 27 consecutive 20-win seasons from 1970-1997 and 30 20-win seasons total

Rupp - Won four NCAA championships (1948, 1949, 1951, 1958), one NIT title in 1946 (when the NIT was a competitive tournament of national contenders), appeared in 20 NCAA tournaments and captured 27 Southeastern Conference titles.

Knight - Overall Record - 889-364 (.709) - 4 time NCAA College Basketball Coach of the Year - 1976 NCAA National Championship

1979 National Invitation Tournament Championship

1981 NCAA National Championship

1987 NCAA National Championship

K - Record at Duke (as of 27 Mar 2007): 702-202 (.777)

Record at USMA: 73-59 (.553)

Overall record (as of 27 Mar 2007): 775-261 (.748)
