Did he miss the 1st bunt attempt or was the pitch a ball?

He looked bad in bunting the one attempt. But he should have been asked to bunt on the 3-1 as well. It's BASEBALL 101 and Narron has never read the book.

You guys really emphasize managing too much. It's major league baseball. No reason these guys should look bad attempting a bunt. Hold them accountable.

On top of that, there's not one person here that knows whether or not EE swung through a bunt sign or not. It's bad baseball all around. EE should be looking for one pitch in one location and one location only. If that's not the pitch he should be disciplined enough to hold off and get to 3-2. These guys are making more than the manager's many times over, it's about time you guys start holding them accountable...

I don't disagree with that, so what do you say for the night before when the game was 3-2 in the 9th and runner on first and Hatte at bat with 0 outs? Should he not have bunted him into scoring position? I know it's easy to say in hindsight seeing how Valentin singled in the next AB and would have tied it, but either way, poor managing decision all the way around. I don't disagree that the players are accountable, but he holds the position of Manager not just lineup filler-outer!

Sorry UKMF and C-A-T-S, I'll stop any attempts at humor at Mr. Griffey. Perhaps when his hand / wrist heals he'll start pulling the ball.

By the way, I'll assume the rolling eyes and snoozing should indicate to me that you don't think he'll ask for the baseball?

Not to be flippant by any stretch of the imagination but wasn't Jr being ripped on last year by not hitting the ball the other way while the shift was on? And now being ripped on for not pulling the ball?

If he doesn't get the sign in that situation, absolutely Narron's accountable, IMO. There are so many things that come into play that maybe he had a reason not to. Maybe he just made a bad decision. In that particular situation, I don't care what you're hitting or who's pitching you bunt, again IMO.

I'm just not a fan of someone jumping on the manager when the player blew it...

I don't think Junior is choosing to hit the ball the other way, I think he is still hurt but feels a pressure to play due to his track record the last 6 years. I don't think he is able to roll over the ball, I really don't.

Or maybe Josh Hamilton made him think of Wally Pipp. :D

Or maybe Josh Hamilton told him he swings like Pippie Longstocking.

How many times do you think Thom is going to make Welsch sound like an idiot tonight?

Thom's first rant of the night....and we're only in the first inning! I love it!

Welsch: "The more pitches you see as a hitter, the better for the hitter..." You think?!?!

You just begin to run out of words to describe how shockingly bad this offense has been the last two now three games. Unreal

Might as well get used to it now, because they aren't going to spend any money to improve it.....

Fill me in. I turned it on and there were runners on 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs. Now there's a runner on 3rd with 2 outs and only 1 run scored???

Sac fly scored the runner from third. Two flyouts to end the inning with no more damage.

ALTHOUGH Arizona does show what you are SUPPOSED to do with a leadoff walk.

:thumb: Must've been a quick 2nd out...

Did Narron take E5 out for not running out the play???
