June 3, 200719 yr CTR. D'oh, forgot to put up there that Dunn's sick. He said yesterday he was in a lot of pain. He has a sinus infection, that began in Houston and didn't get any better coming to this altitude. He said, "If the pressure doesn't go away in the plane back to St. Louis, I'll have to parachute out." Dunn said he was absolutely miserable yesterday. He was originally scheduled to start today with Griffey getting the day off, but the lineup was changed to put Griffey in and Dunn out. Griffey said Freel already owes him seven innings, now he's got 16 coming to him with another nine from Dunn. Sinus infection? Wow.
June 3, 200719 yr Sinus infection? Wow. I don't know if your sympathy is sarcastic or not, but anyway ... If his is anything like the one I have, it sucks royally. My sinuses have backed up into my left ear, and I haven't been able to hear properly for a week as a result. I can't imagine what trying to play every day with those kind of headaches is like.
June 3, 200719 yr IMO the backups are better than the starters. Nice bunt by Moeller Then why are you complaing about the lineup?
June 3, 200719 yr Then why are you complaing about the lineup? I really don't have a problem with Hopper, or Moeller or Wise. I understand BP being sat. Dunn with a sinus infection is pretty lame. On the other hand I think the Reds are better without Dunn, so I guess that works out also. Maybe they'll win with this lineup.

June 3, 200719 yr Obviously, you have never had a sinus infection. Yea I have. I have missed work one day in the last 15 years. I have no sympathy for a guy that can't play a baseball game because his head is clogged.

I've witnessed these guys in late morning and its not called a sinus infection! If he's like me, he's probably had it for well more than a week. I can sympathize with needing one measly day off during that time. I can barely get out of the house without my head feeling like it's going to explode.
June 3, 200719 yr Sinus infections can get pretty nasty, add to it playing in the thin air of Coors field, and it's plenty enough to make anyone sit.

June 3, 200719 yr Author Yea I forgot that too. You are only here to complain. That's a lot of fun...
