May 26, 200719 yr No I know the bunt was the right play, but a pitcher could have done that, and you wouldn't have had to waste Hatteberg, plus I was hoping you would keep the reverse jinx in effect. Hatte came in last inning in a double switch.
May 26, 200719 yr My opinion is Narron blew that one. I don't hammer on him much (ever), but I think that was a bad move.
May 26, 200719 yr What percentages? Capps was on the hill...Dunn gets on base more often and hits more bombs...and runs better. I don't get it. I wasn't paying close enough attention. Belay my previous comment.
May 26, 200719 yr Bunting was the right play (IMHO), but it wasn't executed. Now, with them bringing a RHP in the game, I'd definitely be pinch hitting Dunn for Freel. I once heard former Reds player, Dave Collins say...."Not getting a bunt down, in a lack of concentration and a lack of commitment to practice"...or something close to that.
May 26, 200719 yr BSB anyone? "Brennaman Speaks Baseball?" I listen on the radio a lot, and I've wondered that a few times myself.
May 26, 200719 yr I think Jim meant the chances were that Tracy was going to bring in the lefty to face a lefty. Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket!
May 26, 200719 yr "Brennaman Speaks Baseball?" I listen on the radio a lot, and I've wondered that a few times myself. Thanks!!! That's been driving me crazy since week one.
May 26, 200719 yr Thanks!!! That's been driving me crazy since week one. That was just a guess; I don't know for sure.
