Welsh wouldn't bother me so much if: A) He wasn't such a dolt B) He wasn't such a dork C) He didn't have that awful porn 'stache There's a reason why I turn the sound down on the TV and load up the CD player a lot of game nights.

I'd feel better if they were lacking any good players...but that isn't the case. I just don't get it. They had FAR worse teams in the 80's. I mean FAR worse.

That's why I'm so frustrated with this team. It seems like they're dogging it, there's no passion, and everything that can possibly go wrong, does. This is a team that should be contending for the division.

I was 4 years old when the 90s started, so I wasn't around for the teams in the 80s....
May 26, 200719 yr One of the most disturbing things about Narron is that this is a guy who - at least publicly - stated that he was going to stress fundamentals and that the Reds would do the "little things" right. They are unquestionably the least fundamentally sound team in MLB and that reflects directly upon the manager. These guys are major league ballpayers. They may not all be able to hit .300, but there is absolutely no reason they can't bunt properly, move a guy over when needed, run bases intelligently, and on and on. Poor, poor fundamentals. Poor, poor managing.

And don't give me this, he should've put someone else up to bat, crap either. Bunting is like shooting free throws in basketball...easiest shot in the game...

I agree, I am beginning to think that this team doesn't want to win or at least they don't care if they win or lose. :mad: I don't agree with Narron on a lot of his decisions and think that he needs to go but I will say that should not cause a player to not care . You know that they have to know fundamentals (basic fundamentals at that), they are professional baseball players and were obviously good enough to get noticed and move up throught the ranks. In other words, they know how to play baseball and they just do not care. :mad: . Maybe it will take a change of manager to wake them up and shake things up in the clubhouse, I don't know. I just think that the players (most anyway) on this Reds team have no pride or desire. Now, I have vented once more and will be back watching and rooting for them again in the next game.

May 26, 200719 yr Author I really don't think I've ever seen anything like the team so far. It would almost be better to fall behind big early every night and get it over with. They score a bunch early, we are going to come back for a rare win or fight back only to blow it late. We score a bunch early and the 8th inning gets there. Great pitching performance and the O is gone. Just for fun sometimes they change it up with a key mental error in the field. EVERY little mistake ends up deciding the game. The list goes on and on. It's almost impressive...
