Whats the outlook on the 10th Region for next year 07-08?

Featured Replies

Whats everyones take on the 10th next year.Almost all the top teams loose there best players and nucelus from these past teams.Heres how i see it.

1.Mason

2.GRC

3.Montgomery

4.Campbell

And then i really think it takes a big drop off after these.St.Pat could be a sleeper with Owens and Anderson back.Again its early and a lot could change this but the 10th as a whole should be way down next year.

Agree with you mhighfield.

How will Brossart be? I know they are never weak, but will they be weaker than what they have been in the past..

I know Brossart was led by their 5 seniors. Judging by what I saw when I watched their JV team play Mason Co. It could end up being a rebuilding year. Course kids could develop, things could change before November. But the Mustangs will likely end up around .500 I think.

I never count Brossart out but i would say they fall in that 5-7 spot.Should be very inexperinced.

Brossart picked a good year to rebuild I guess, because it doesn't matter how good anyone is, no one is going to compete with Mason.

Mason County will roll everyone in the 10th. Everyone will be competing for second. They also should be a favorite to win it all, with the usual Scott County and Catholic.

The Saints have had the best district draw the last 2 years and can't even beat Augusta,so though there is some talent there, they haven't proven they can even contend for the All A.

Brossart had a junior who played JV and some Varsity who looked big and solid. Name?

Guessing you're talking about Greg Stortz--6'5" center, but nobody outside of the senior class saw much varsity time this year for the Mustangs.

These predictions look suprisingly like this years predictions, seems like GRC came out on top??

Dont count your chickens before they hatch, I believe I seen this a few months back, Anything can happen between now and next fall. Some people may transfer to these other schools

With what everyone loses and what Mason has returning, I can't help but think Mason will be head and shoulders above the rest. Plus, Mason will have a chip on their shoulder. They will be too tough to handle.

That is if O'hearn gets Miller on the block where he should be.

Funny you should mention that, I was sitting right behind Darius's father at the championship game. On more than a few occasions he was asking that same question. Get Darius in the post, why isn't he posting up.

Anyway, back to the 10th region. I know we have baseball, football to get through and I'm looking forward to watching the Royals play both. But I really can't wait for basketball to start back up again in November.

I'd bet Coach Hinson would like to draw Bracken County for a change next year, 2 years in a row Augusta has beaten them in the district tournament, but then again maybe 3 times a charm.:D

Mason obviously as a heavy favorite.....Montgomery as a #3???

They are going to have to play somebody first....you can't keep scheduling 20 win seasons by playing every small school available and expect to get respect in a region this tough.

Brossart will probably be rebuilding but a solid frosh class should have them reloading soon.

Campbell & Scott should be relatively equal judging by the JV squads this past season. Campbell probably has a little more varsity experience returning but don't underestimate Coach Carr's ability to coach 'em up.

Early prediction...:dancingpa

Mason

GRC

Campbell
