Should be a GREAT year for the Royals.

Look for a couple Freshman to get some minutes also in Treg Setty,Jordan Gilbert maybe even Neal Pawsat.This has been one of the top 3 classes come through Mason County so far in there careers.

Didnt really say they would leap frog anybody,But they will see a few minutes here and there i believe with Treg Setty probaly getting a little more toward seasons end.

Oh ok thanks..I'm just not very familiar with that class and have not seen them play so I don't really know how good they are

GRC will have 1 starter back..sophomore Robert Hatton, top reserves are Jr, Evan Bennett, Jr Tatum Lewis, and 8th grader Robbie Stenzel. Others are Mark Miller,Timmy Davis, Patrick Bailey, Jarron Thomas, and Dougie Mason.It has been said that sophomore Kendall Bergman will be moving to Alabama. He transfered in 2 years ago from Texas. Also some very promising Freshman coming up.

They can't jump any of the first five, but they could compete for minutes with the rest of them. Gilbert will need to grow and Treg Setty and Pawsat will need to get stronger if they want any big time minutes.

Top 3 classes? I think it is a solid class but top three is a big stretch so far.

I also add that I "just" dont think that the starting 5 that some have said on here will be true for the Royals. Watch out for Ryan Hamm a next year junior that is superb from the line and can light it up from outside. Also the Lykins kid can shoot the 3 also.:ylsuper:

Drew Lykins can shoot but is too slow to play Mason County Defense. Hamm will contribute mostly off the bench because of his lack of size and strength but will play a major role in the success of the Royals.

I agree that you never know how kids will mature over the summer and from year to year. It was 17 long years before GRC made it back to the big dance at the boys sweet 16. With 1,650 kids roaming the halls at Clark County, there has got to be some athletes hidden. There is no way IMO that it should be that long of a gap before a school that size make it to the state tournament. To make it to the sweet 16, there are several things that has to happen in your favor. Where is all the athletes amongst that estimated number above located at GRC?

Im not so sure about that there accomplishments speak for themselves,Either we will be loaded for at least the next 5 years.When i say top 3 i mean top 3 classes to come through Mason county so far not what there going to accomplish,Because we dont know that yet im saying through there 8th grade seasons.:thumb:

Some concentrate on one sport, example would be Darius Miller not playing football next year, while others are working, and some just don't want to put forth the time and energy...it happens in all schools.

Mason County was a prime example in Football for years the best athletes wouldn't come out for it until Coach Buchanan come and change things around.
