Coming from a Ky boy, hope he does well eventhough we are gonna miss him next year back at Rupp. Eventhough if keeping him meant keeping Tubby then Im glad he signed with the Knicks and IMO will do well in the future.

He's already grown 1 inch.

How can a player go straight from college ball to signing with an NBA team before the end of the semester?

He was considered a free agent and could sign anytime he wanted.

IMO the NCAA needs to do something about this. Otherwise players can declare after their freshman year and pretty much quit playing college ball whenever they want.

Incorrect. Should they declare AND then get drafted they have no more college eligibility.

No minutes in the first 3 quarters for Randolph.

R. Morris DNP - Coach's Decision

Perfect situation for Morris - he makes a lot of money and gets to be as lazy as usual every night!

^ Well at least his head not being in the game..didn't hurt the Knicks.

^they didn't win anyway....:D

Magic center Dwight Howard was excited that his buddy Randolph Morris had made what the New York Knicks are calling an unprecedented leap.

Morris is believed to be the first player to jump from an NCAA team to an NBA team in the same week. He declared for the 2005 draft but was not picked. He returned to school and played two more seasons as a free agent who was ineligible to be drafted.

Morris, 6-foot-11, scored 22 points on March 18 in Kentucky's 88-76 loss to Kansas in the NCAA Tournament. He practiced Sunday with the Knicks after signing a two-year, $1.6 million contract.

"Randolph's a good guy, good player," Howard said. "I'm glad he found a spot here."

Howard and Morris were AAU teammates in 2003.

I know, I can imagine what he said to the college instructors when he left their class for the last time. Hey, thanks for broadening my horizons but I am going to be making triple what you ever thought of making starting tomorrow as I fly to NY to play basketball for a living.

What a perfect situation for Randolph.
