No UK clause

Featured Replies

Boys and girls, spout off all the guesses and "inside" information you want.

Let's put one ridiculous rumor to rest right now. There is no "UK clause" in Billy's contract.

Trust me. :thumb:

"UK Clause" has been a rumor for a while now.

Xtiger has disappereard...See what you did with your sources 98...

After winning back to back championships?

He's not won the second just yet.

He hasn't won that 2nd title yet and I'd say he probably won't. They have a shot but so does UCLA, OSU, Memphis, UNC, Kansas, ect. They are just one of many who could but that doesn't mean they will.

What better time than now? His stock will never be any higher than what it is right now and he has stated that he loves UK. I have a pretty good source myself and while there is no "UK Clause" in his contract, at one point his contract did state that UK could speak to him about a vancancy without having to get permission from UF. It may not be in his contract now, he's reconsrtucted his contract probably 5-7 times since he's been at FLORIDA and this was a couple of years ago.

I'd say his "people" are better than any one else on this topic...

I've developed a habit of not believing people who claim to have "inside sources" whether they're people claiming things I want to hear, or things I do not want to hear. Most of the time, anyone on the internet who claims to have a "source" is full of it...

I've never said it unless it was true. Never will either.

That's a good policy to have though.

Wasn't accusing you of being full of it...just most "insiders".

I think there are a few on here that can say it and get respect for the info. I agree as a whole it's something a lot of people on message boards substitute for "I think"...

Take a look at this article.

It's old but do you think based on this article that this AD would allow a UK-escape clause? Based on these quotes?

This article is from the year 2000.

I do not believe the A.d. would allow a coach to name a specific shool though.

So if he leaves after this season but before the next the buy out is $200,000.

He is getting ready to get a big raise, and with the UK job opening, they will have to pay him so much more to be sure he stays...

His raise won't be enough!!! He's comming as soon as Florida's run ends this season. He'll be losing a couple of players to the NBA maybe three. He's coming to fix the problems at UK and coach at "The Winningest School in College History" Want to be remembered, Coach at UK!!!

Great Post!!! You Racers seem to be pretty darn smart. Maybe it will rub off on the lil' brother this year. LOL!!!!

I agree, I think he'll be the next coach at Kentucky.
