It doesn't really matter. If UK wants Billy and Billy wants to be here, it will happen. I think that we have all seen that NCAA coaching contracts aren't worth much these days.

IMO I think UK wants Billy, but Billy does not want UK... :scared:

Think about it though...

He built Florida from nothing. He could easily bring UK back to national significance, but it would be a challenge. If he could do for UK what he's done at Florida, then it might be a good springboard for him to go to the League.

Boys and girls, spout off all the guesses and "inside" information you want.

Let's put one ridiculous rumor to rest right now. There is no "UK clause" in Billy's contract.

Trust me. :thumb:

Where do you come up with this stuff?

Many people say (and have said for years) that Billy D has an escape clause in his contract in case UK offers him a job.

Wow that's a shock!

I would bet the NBA already wants him. I just don't see him taking a step back in his career right now.

Step back? I don't care what Florida's current state is, if you come to Kentucky, you're moving up the ladder. The national media has been quick to point out that there are 3 elite jobs in all of college basketball- Duke, UNC and Kentucky.

True, but in Billy's case I think it would be a step back...

I think UK has a black eye, in view from outside the state.

I'd say his "people" are better than any one else on this topic...

How black was the eye when Pitino came? And he left an NBA playoff team from New York City.

He wanted out of NYC and it was perfect timing. He came in and done a fantastic job... Maybe UK should go after Ricky...

When Billy tries his luck at the NBA, UK can then grab him if he falls.

It might be perfect timing to leave Florida. I'm not saying he will, but how many more goals are left to accomplish in Gainesville?

And for the record (and I know you didn't imply it), I'm not saying UK should go after Pitino to fix this so-called "black eye."

I assure you my sources are real and very credible. Ask around. :thumb:
