They are "suffering" the same as most of the elite programs around UK, Duke, Temple, Lousiville and Indiana aren't the same anymore. Sure those teams have had some good runs (except Temple, lately) but they are not DOMINANT every year anymore. Duke has been ranked #1 at some point almost every season this decade...last year being the exception. To be honest, I look for them to be quite improved this season.

To be honest, I look for them to be quite improved this season. :thumb: Agreed. There's no way you put Duke in the same boat as UK. They are living proof that top notch programs can still be dominant in today's game.

I wasn't even trying to put Duke down here. I was making a point. A lot of my fellow UK fans seem to feel that top programs can't have any down years, and if you do that must mean you don't have a good coach. Tubby was a very good coach, and wasn't as bad as people try to make him out to be. The whole reason why I brought up Duke is because everyone seems to hate Duke on here, and I was pointing out that even though these last two years have been pretty bad. We still have had the same average finish in the NCAA tournament as another top program in Duke. That just shows not every program stays on top every year, and have some years where they don't do so well...In no way was I trying to take a shot at Duke or anything here, so need need to get all defensive...:thumb:

December 29, 200718 yr :sssh::sssh::sssh: Sorry I had too.... This was a very true thread. I mean if we have Tubby right now still, this team probably has ATLEAST 2 or 3 less losses. What is really sad though, next year probably wont be much better. We still have no big guy to help Patterson, and we will be having to rely on two freshman to try to get us to improve alot next year...
