None of this thread is about Tubby it's about UK fans.

For all those in favor of the firing Tubby, you got what you wanted. This is a sad day for UK basketball IMO. We take a big step back, and it might be a while until UK is back on top. Hope you guys are happy now.:cry:

This seems to be addressing Tubby not being at UK amd you were taking umbrage with that. Why bring this back up? Tubbys gone and I'd imagine most UK fans are pretty happy with how it all shook out. Regardless Billy G is the coach, IMO UK basketball and the fans are better off for it.

It's amazing how fast people go from being excited about the state of basketball in Kentucky to pessimists based on one day and the decisions of players who have barely got the chance to form any sort of relationship with Billy Gillispie... UK won't get a top class this year, but I believe they'll have some great classes in the very near future and we won't have to worry about Jai Lucas anymore.

I'm not upset about it. I think we will be fine I am still very much excited about Billy G but they jury is still out like I said.

Of course it is... It's been a month and he's never coached a game... But bumping a thread with th the title "be careful what you wished for" isn't exactly a sign of showing excitement about the program. I too think people are putting the cart in front of the horse a bit, but I definitely don't see things being any worse than they have been for the past couple of years, so I think that most of the "Tubby bashers" will be pretty satisfied with their wish. If people judge him based on what the team does next year, that's pretty pathetic. Let him bring his players in and then we'll finally be able to critique his performance... Is the jury still out? Very much so, and will be for a few years. Bump this then.

The main reason I bumped it was because of Lucas commiting to UF. Workd was he was committing ot UK at the burger boy game(rumor) when Tubby was here. Can't I have a little fun around here geesh.

I don't think that rumor has any merit since Patterson has expressed how much he wants to be the last senior to commit... I don't think one day he was just like "Let's see how long I can wait this out before I finally announce"... It's my belief it was his intent all along, and committing in March just would've taken all his glory away.

 

Plus... We've read too many rumors for me to buy into that one.

I was told they had 100% planned to announce UK at the Burger game. From there this thing spun out of control big time...
