Once a cheater, always a cheater.....You have to remember it was AFTER he left UMass that the truth came out. I expect as much out of Memphis. I don't want that kind of crap representing the Kentucky program.

I guess he isnt allowed to make a mistake. I think you have some personal grudge against him and its honestly scaring me a little. Let it go man. The guy is sucessful anywhere he goes.

I never want to see UK lose. But with the current situation it is going to happen. UK took a big hit today.

 

I do wish Tubby well and if some of his success come with the bonus of rubbing a few noses in it, I wouldn't mind that at all.

:thumb: Its REALLY amusing now that the tables have turned. Its almost turned political. Its like pro-Tubby/pro-choice! Both sides have very solid arguments, and they both refuse to acknowledge the other side's points.

 

I thought Tubby deserved at least one more year, but HE chose to move on, and I will too. I'm confident that Barnhart will make a good decision (Cohen, Demoss anyone?), and UK will be back on track sooner rather than later.

Sure...but UK has had their most dominant runs in two different 3-4 year runs...the rest of the time, they are looking up...I shall not be concerned anytime soon.

Everyone kills me saying UK will be way down for the next 3-5 years. In case you havent been watching, by Kentucky's standards we have been down for the last two. Sure, next year, and maybe the year after will be rough, however, Tubby parting ways with the program is the best thing that could have happened. Those who think he is some sort of god are merely blinded. He is a good coach, but most definately not even one of the top ten in the country. If he was a top ten coach then KENTUCKY of all places would not be unranked and find itself missing on recruits. If he were one of the best he would not have to flee to a bottom feeding Minnesota team to escape criticsm. If he was GREAT like everyone says he would have had a lot more options out there to leave with than just Minnesota. I mean, Minnesota, he leaves Kentucky to take this offer. Great coaches don't leave one of the best jobs in college sports for one of the most mediocre. Also a great coach does not leave a team in the shape it is now. No high profile recruits for next season, lot of ifs in the squad he has already assembled. I feel like he absolutely used Kentucky to build his name and get credited for being something he is really not, and whether he is as great as some make him out to be we will truly get to see next year.

 

As for us being in shambles. Please. Like said two years....three at the most is pushing it, we might be down a little bit, and to get things back on track. However, like I have said in other threads, we land a high profile coach, his high profile recruits throw out their LOI's to follow him, the team gels with a new style of play, who knows it may not be as bad as some think. If you notice it is only the Tubby Lovers who think it is the end of the world, and the only reason I think they believe so is that they truely want it to be, not because they care about the program as much as it is they want to prove themselves justified to the Tubby bashers. Personally, I opt for the good of the program and I think the happenings today are not only good for the University to move on, but for Tubby as well.

I'm not sour. I'm happy for Tubby. He got away from the most ignorant fanbase in the country.
