March 16, 200719 yr I picked Coach K to WILL his way to the sweet 16. But I will take a dUKe loss anytime!
March 16, 200719 yr We were up at Billie's Skyline Tavern.Haven't check it out since it reopened, I keep meaning too. any changes?
March 16, 200719 yr No nothing really at all. New bartenders and other workers and I think they serve food til later than they use too. That's about it. I'm looking for more changes when it starts getting nicer out.
March 16, 200719 yr Everyone up at the bar last night set aside their brackets and were cheering on VCU...and it was crazy after they won. I hope they can do the same cheering after UK's game tonight...
March 16, 200719 yr I dont care what you say RP. You are mad as fire and you know that Duke lost to an inferior team. And i absolutely LOVE IT!

March 16, 200719 yr I dont care what you say RP. You are mad as fire and you know that Duke lost to an inferior team. And i absolutely LOVE IT! That's strange. I talked to him right after the game and he didn't seem upset at all. But I guess you would know better...
March 16, 200719 yr It has been an issue for the last two seasons, it won't next year I don't follow. IF they're young won't they have the same guys back next season? I know of the recruit from the northwest - he'll be a defensive liability in the ACC. How is next year going to be different when it comes to athletic ability? Is there some freak coming in?
March 16, 200719 yr It will look a lot better 5 years from now, when people look back a see that VCU beat Duke in the NCAA. What they won't remember is that the Blue Devils finished their season going 4-8. It might have said Duke across their chest tonight, but this team did not play like Duke. You're right, though I am proud that is wasn't from lack of effort, they weren't in the same class as many of the teams they lost to (athletically), or even some that they beat (BC twice, Georgetown)....they may struggle early next year...but they should be a major player for the next 3-4 years.
March 16, 200719 yr Had this picked in one of my brackets. Just due to the fact that VCU had the most road wins of any team all year which means they can play anywhere and they did actually have a pretty good overall record. Dukes struggled much of the season and never got N'Sync. Good luck to VCU moving forward. Hey... :irked:
March 16, 200719 yr I dont care what you say RP. You are mad as fire and you know that Duke lost to an inferior team. And i absolutely LOVE IT! Not angry, surprised or anything. Like I said, I had zero false hop in them making legit noise this year. it was a great opportunity for them to get exposed, and use that to fuel a fire at a great run in the next two or three years. I slept quite well (thanks Steve;) ), and woke up in great spirits, the tourney is now pure enjoyment to me.,

How is next year going to be different when it comes to athletic ability? Is there some freak coming in? Three seperate freaks really..but the catalyst, IMO, is Nolan Smith...he is extremely quick and athletic...he will make a bunch of noise as a freshman...Lance Thomas and Gerald Henderson will be superstars next year as well. I think in 2007-2008, we will see the deepest Duke team in over a decade, that should be great...(and they'll be considered young next year as well :thumb:)
