Final. Covcath comes away with the W led by Bovard and Grimes. Highlands had multiple opportunites but simply couldn't capitalize. A 35th district rematch is now in place.

Congrats to Cov Cath, good luck against Holmes.

I think this is what everyone outside of Ft. Thomas wanted.

Sounds like a good game though.

Now it comes down to what everyone thought it would Holmes and Cov. Cath, let the games begin.

CCH was too hot from the field in the first half. I dont know what they ended up for the game but if you shoot like that you should win. I was surprised Highlands gave up so many three's in the 1st half.

Great effort by the Birds though. Better showing than I thought in the Regional. I think Holmes takes care of biz tomorrow night, sorry CCH fans but its the Dogs this time.

Congrats to CCH. HHS boys, way to play your hearts out. Should be a barnburner of a game coming up.

The Pandas of NDA led the way with victories over Highlands then Holmes. So CovCath, you beat Highlands, now it's time for the boys from Holmes to go home unhappy too.....

For this to happen CCH sure better be better at the foul line than they were tonight.

Did you notice in the Holmes vs St. Henry game, Holmes didn't light up the nets either at the free throw line..... Strange indeed.....

Don't understand why, as CovCath usually hits around 65% as a team at the charity line......

As Kenny Shield used to say many a sphincter have tightened come march.

I have seen Highlands play quite a bit this year and it was the best as a team they had played all year. They got contributions from numerous guys offensively. Defensively it wasn't there best game, but overall I thought they gave a good effort and played with a lot of emotion.

Need to congratulate Willie and his game bunch of 'Birds. They played very well in the "second season" and came a couple of breaks and a call from pulling the upset. Hail to the Victors...if CovCath lights it up from the outside the way they did tonite they'll beat Holmes. But beating a team 4 times in one season is VERY hard to do...Coach Shields would say "there's 4 pieces of pie, boys. But the last piece is the one that tastes the sweetest!" Should be an outstanding battle!

72 - 62 is an absolute shootout for a Ninth Region semifinal.

Nice win for the Colonels who looked to be the better team. CovCath and Holmes should be a good one.

CCH was close to 50% from the foul line tonight(they shot better from the field than from the charity stripe)and 6 of those 12 made were in mop up with a lot less pressure. The pressure tomorrow night will be even greater. Simply put, they will need to be better to beat Holmes, rather than hope that Holmes also shoots poorly.

Very tough physical game. Bodies were hitting the floor all night. Some not by choice either. The refs tightened it up a little in the second half though after talking to the captains.
