March 12, 200719 yr Here's a twist on the popular brackets contests that are floating around the office. Are you ready to stand firm behind your upset picks? It's called the "Greedy Seed Contest" You will post your picks two rounds at a time each week and they will be due before the first game on Thursday (Saturday for Final Four weekend). After each weekend's games, you will be allowed to pick the winners of the following week's matchups. You get points based on the seed of each game picked correctly. For example, if you pick Kentucky to beat Villanova, you get 8 points. If you pick Kansas to win their first round game, you get one point. If you pick them to beat Kentucky, you get one point. If you pick Kentucky to beat Kansas, you get 8 more points. Then you move on to the next week to make your next round of picks. Obviously, if your first round pick loses, you won't get any points for that team past the first round. The person with the most points after the national title game will be the winner. The first tie-breaker will be the number of total games picked correctly. The second tie-breaker will be the number of Final Four teams picked correctly after the second weekend of games. The third tie-breaker will be time. Make sure you post your winners by region. This week, make sure you list first round winners and second round winners. Standings will be posted after each week. Good Luck!
