March 12, 200719 yr Kansas- The most perennially overrated team in college basketball history. It seems they are a 1 or 2 seed every year and almost always get upset early in the tournament. Kansas was a #4 last year and lost in the first round Kansas was a #3 seed in 2005 and lost in the first round Kansas was a #4 in 2004 and made the Elite 8 Kansas was a #2 in 2003 and made the final game Kansas was a #1 in 2002 and made the final four Kansas was a #4 in 2001 and made the Sweet 16 Kansas was a #8 in 2000 and lost in the second round Kansas was a #6 in 1999 and lost in the second round Kansas was a #1 in 1998 and lost in the second round Kansas was a #1 in 1997 and made the Sweet 16 Kansas was a #2 in 1996 and made the Elite 8 Kansas was a #1 in 1995 and made the Sweet 16 I'm not seeing the #1 and #2 seed every other year arguement. While I'm not hitching up the Scribe wagon to Kansas for a long NCAA run, the last two times they have been a #1 or #2, they have made the Elite 8
March 12, 200719 yr Id say Duke, I seen them as an 7 or 8 seed after getting beat early in the ACC tourny.
March 12, 200719 yr UCLA was punished for losing in the first round of their conference tournament and didn't get a #1 seed. Drexel and Air Force were punished for not winning their conference and missed the tournament. Since Duke lost in the first round of their conference tournament to an NIT-bound team, it makes you wonder where they would have landed had they won a game or two. A 23-10 #4 seed??

March 12, 200719 yr Washington St, Maryland, Duke, USC, and Tennesee. I think those 5 are a little overranked. Also, I thought Florida St deserved to be in the field.
March 12, 200719 yr Purdue as a 9. Butler as a 5. USC as a 5. Washington St. as a 3. Tennessee as a 5.

March 12, 200719 yr 1)Butler too high at #5...imo, should have been a 7 or 8 2)SIU too high at #4...imo, should have been a 6 3)Maryland too high at #4...imo, should have been a 6 4)others probably 1 level too high: Duke, Virginia, USC, Oregon IMO, the teams that got underseeded were: Nevada at #7, should have been no worse than a 5... Marquette at #8, should have been a 6 or 7 at worse Texas A&M at #3, should have been a #2 at worse, possibly even a #1 Illinois at #12, should have been at least a #10

March 12, 200719 yr Arkansas for even getting in. That was going to be my post. They should have been a 3 seed in the NIT.
March 12, 200719 yr Texas A&M to be considered a #1??? #2 would be a reach. IMO Agree with #1 seed, last 2 seed or high 3 and that is what they got.
