February 27, 200719 yr Not only will Brady Quinn not go first in the draft, he won't go in the top 5. If the Vikings and Dolphins pass then he might not even go top 10!
February 27, 200719 yr And if every team passes on him, he might drop out of the first round! Why did his stock drop? He's not done anything wrong lately? He's got a great arm, great build, never been seriously injured that I can recall...I think he'll be a good NFL QB.
February 27, 200719 yr At least he showed up at the combine to bench, I believe 22 reps at 225. Actually I think he did 24 reps...
February 27, 200719 yr Author He didn't work out at the combine and it is going to hurt him. He sent film from Notre Dame working out with his guys there. Big difference in working out on your home field with your guys and he didn't look to great at that. The true competitors went out and worked out in front of the NFL coaches and that is going to hurt him. They are also finding that he missed a ton of open WR's this year when they started breaking down film on him. By him not working out in front of the coaches he is getting the reputation of not being confident in what he brings to the table. Perfect example... Calvin Johnson! He had NO reason to go out and prove what he could do but because he is such a competitor he borrowed somebody's shoes and ran a 4.38 I think it was. On a side note it's been said Jamarcus Russell could throw a ball 83-84 yards!!!!!!
February 27, 200719 yr I heard that Brady has been working out the small muscle in his eyes to try to see the field better. Now thats dedication!! He has been working like a mad man in the off-season, he deserves to be in the top 5. But, look at Lienart same situation

Not going out on a very big limb there are you? From most of the stuff I heard recently, most people dont think he will go in the top 5 anymore, because most of the teams in the top 5 have bigger needs than a QB...

Seeing that a lot of people have him first then yes I am. Russell will be the first pick unless the Raiders make a deal for a QB where they can get Johnson. You also have teams at the top that need multiple players that could trade the pick. Just because they are in a slot doesn't mean they draft there ya know!

Oakland Detroit Cleveland Tampa Bay Washington Minnesota Houston Miami I'm not sure how much NFL you watch but that is 8 of the top 10 picks and they all have QB issues! A team trading down and getting Schaub is more likely.

February 28, 200719 yr I'm not sure how much NFL you watch but all of those teams have bigger needs than QB... take Oakland for example... for starters they need a new owner, and if not available, they could also use a football team...
February 28, 200719 yr From what I've heard what's hurt him off the field is not participating in the Senior Bowl, and on the field it's his ability to throw the intermediate routes. And I don't understand why everyone is so excited about Schaub a 1-1 td to interception ratio, and a very poor record as a starter (not sure of the exact numbers)

Most of the things I read have Oakland taking Russell first and not Quinn, so no your not going out on a big limb....
