Vanderbilt 67 Kentucky 65

The state of UK basketball, having to win games late LATE in the year to even make the NCAA tourney...

Not going to argue that, I didn't expect this team to be in this situation.

Meeks and Woo played very hard. It wasn't the effort that was a problem today, it was execution.

For about 35 minutes I agree. The last 5 were awful...

For about 35 minutes I agree. The last 5 were awful...

Again I don't think that's an effort thing. These guys are plain and simple bad at the end of the game.

If Kentucky basketball were like some football programs, everything including the kitchen sink will have been thrown out of the door and 400 for sale signs would show up on the front lawn of the entire UK coaching staff.

Everytime I look around it seems a Kentucky boy playing on another team, not named Kentucky, is whooping their rear.

Kentucky offense is the following:

1) Hi-ball screen

2) cross screen with staggered down screens

ZERO continuity

Kentucky OB is the following:

1) Box 'em up

2) Back screen, diagonal cross screen, pop out...give to big man and then stand

Kentucky Side OB is the following:

1) Pop, pass, step out of bounds or get trapped and they are weak as CAT PEE with the basketball

Kentucky Zone Offense is the follliwng:

Vs. 2-3

1) Basic 1-3-1 set

2) Pass

3) 25 footer sometimes we make

4) Shot clock violation

5) No screning or penetrating the zone

Kentucky's Swagger....

1) Take a look at Randolph Morris facial expression

2) Take a look at Sherry Thomas facial expression

3) Take a look at Ramel's expression, well, no, don't do that....

I want to know is why Tubby took out Wookash early in the game when he had scored 8 points? He ended up finishing the game with 9 points in 9 minutes of play. What is OTS doing out there?

The effort was there, except from Morris, it's the brain cells that are lacking from this group.

I couldn't agree more!I hope these guys are doing better in Class than on the court.:D

Is anyone else ready for Morris to be gone for good? After watching the game today, he can't go quick enough IMO. The fact that he doesn't want to be there is very obvious from the way he handles himself on the floor.

Another inexcusable loss...

1) 3 shot clock violations in 2nd half...some were right after timeouts

2) Ramel once again takes over down the stretch and coughs it up

3) Kentucky is 0-6 vs. ranked opponents...don't see why they are not a bubble team at best now with a real shot of missing the dance. They simply don't deserve to go based on performance

4) Kentucky has too much talent to be a reflection of #3 above

5) Does OTS have a single set play for crucial situtions? Nope, 10-under AAU teams with bad coaches have better sets than UK's stagnant offense

6) Kentucky shoots well once again and loses.

7) Randolph will struggle to make overseas basketball teams, too lazy, sorry, and to be honest, just not very athletic IMO.

8) Of all the dumb turnovers, Bobby Perry's passing is

9) OTS couldn't motivate vs. Alabama and I'm looking for reasons as to why there are not any better chances to score (x's and o's) when games are on the line vs. Vandy

10) Cats lose to GA and FLA this week, they are FINISHED, only get in if they win SEC tourney, which will not happen.

Stick a fork in this season.

What a joke, they are in...

What a joke, they are in...

Not so fast. They are in real danger of playing into a huge number of teams fighting for very few spots. Lose out, and they have a very real chance of playing for MSG...

100 posts in 30 minutes! nice

I agree with GT... if they lose out it might be tough on them.

Lose out, and they have a very real chance of playing for MSG...

:thumb:

And should they lose out they don't deserve to make it.

I can't believe I am saying this but.....losing out and tanking this season may be the only way to get rid of Tubby.

At this point I think not making the tournament might be the best thing for the UK program.

Unfortunately, I completely agree. I never thought I would say this, but now I think I would be relieved if they lost out from here. Maybe change would happen a little faster. I'm wondering how many of Big Blue Nation will make the trip to Atlanta to watch this team play on Thursday. I've already heard several regular SEC tourney attendees say they are not going this year, and that was before today. Maybe that will get somebody's attention.

One final thing, how on earth do you have 3 shot clock violations on the UK bench side????? Can Tubby and staff not count to 35? Why doesn't someone yell out "10 seconds!" Simply inexcusable.:irked: :irked: :irked:

C-A-T-S,

Joke may be on UK...if they DO get in it will be because they go 1-1 this week, I'm allowing another loss, but must get at least to Saturday (Semi-Finals) of SEC tournament, if not, NAME alone may not get them in.

19-9

0-6 vs. ranked opponents

4-4 last 10 games...wouldn't lay a single dime on them being in at this point.
