February 23, 200719 yr If I'm Patterson why would I want to play for a coach that runs the ball?? That makes it a guards game. If I'm 6'8 & 230 lbs I want them to set it up and feed the post? 230 is not a banger's body....Patterson likes to run...without question.
February 23, 200719 yr 230 is not a banger's body....Patterson likes to run...without question. Regardless of where he chooses to attend college, I think that he will have to add some lbs. to his frame. However, I would think that he could bang around in the post pretty well at 230 against most of the competition that he faces in high school.
February 23, 200719 yr ^ Sure...now....next year, folks like Big Baby, Boggan, etc...all have big bodies and he will need lb.s in a hurry, or will have to run, run, run.

He's definitely big enough.

Boggan is only listed at 235 lbs. Al Horford is 245 lbs. The Legend is 240 lbs. They all do pretty well in the post. The more I think about it, the more I think that he will be fine. I'm sure what ever college program he attends will have a greater influence on his diet, lifting, etc. He'll probably gain a view lbs. by default.
February 23, 200719 yr I do not place to much faith in CP. I'll put the celebration on hold until it is confirmed by the players mentioned.
February 23, 200719 yr Xtiger cracks me up....with his supposedly's and word from, etc.... Some of my best friends work in the media. These guys are wired in and friends with everyone, coaches, asst. AD's, trainers, SID,s equipment managers etc.and they do get scoop (it is their job)all the time believe it or not and on ocassion I get to hear some pretty crazy stuff like what goes on at closed practices, locker room fights, recruiting news, stuff like injuries and little things no one hears like the operation Brian Brohm just had, just thought you would like to know.
February 23, 200719 yr 230 is not a banger's body....Patterson likes to run...without question. And we all know that's gotta be right, right??
February 24, 200719 yr Well, he has been quoted talking about the running pressing style...not my buddys telling me that.

February 24, 200719 yr Just Curious, Who is The Legend? McRoberts... RP claimed he was/will be a legend at Duke.
February 24, 200719 yr OJ Mayo, imo, takes away from Patterson...OJ plays that Kobe Bryant "shoot 1st and look to shoot 2nd" style, so, it's kind of hard to guage how good he really is...He sure can run the court, block shots and rebound though...Hope the Cats can land him.....They could use Lucas, too. I think he would step in immediately and run the point and if he does decide to come, look for that uptempo style everyone seems to be clamoring for...He's a Rondo with an outside shot... Patterson didn't have much of a game against St. Patrick. When he got the rebound with a couple of seconds left, he sure didn't look for a shot. He was looking to get rid of the ball to Mayo as quickly as possible. If he is as good as some on BGP like to think, I would think he would have been looking for a close in shot to tie the score. He clearly was not doing so. He didn't even take a look at the basket. He didn't want to take that last shot. He expected Mayo to bail them out. If you watched the game, it should be obvious to you that Mayo carried HHS. He took over in the second half and kept them in the game with very little help from anyone else- including Patterson. Mayo is the primetimer and his performance against St. Patrick proved it. Patterson was merely a member of the cast.
February 24, 200719 yr  McRoberts... RP claimed he was/will be a legend at Duke. I had some caveats to it... I noticed a tidbit about McRoberts...if he stays long enough, I firmly believe that he'll be a Duke legend..check this out. Sophomore Josh McRoberts is currently averaging 12.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.35 blocks and 1.25 steals per game. No player in Duke history has averaged more than 10.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 steals for a season
