Really.... How many people has Pitino put in the pros at UL?

Some. How about his career? How about at UK?

Stone wasnt pro talent. Pitino couldnt get much out of him either. Parker's injury really set him back to go a long with his off the court issues thereafter.

Morris is lazy, Rondo's a cancer, Joe Crawford doesn't show up, Bradley dribbles too much, Bogans was an inconsistent shooter, Parker was a thug, and Stone wasn't good. They were all recruited by Tubby and their was always an excuse. I hate excuses. Anyone ever seen Tubby say, "That's on me" in a press conference? I haven't. Other than S&C he's never really admitted doing anything wrong, other than recruiting, but when he admited he was wrong there he did nothing to fix it.

All these excuses have a common factor.

Are you kidding? You have to be kidding. KY walks it up at every opportunity. Unless it's an uncontested lay-up they don't look to push.

Look at Florida and tell me Billy D doesn't put them in the pros. Look at Pitino or Calhoun. These guys put guys in the pros. They get pro talent, then develop it to pro skill. OTS gets pro talent and (Randolph Morris, Jason Parker, and Marvin Stone). Is he directly to blame? He recruited them so he must have liked them. They all were projected first rounder picks out of high school. Yet??????????? What happened?

I'm looking at Florida, and I can think of Matt Bonner, David Lee, Mike Miller, Donnell Harvey and Udonis Haslem. That's only 5. 6 if Jason Williams was under his watch. (I can't remember). That's 6 in 11 years.

Under Tubby, (Fitch, Daniels, Hayes, Bogans, Prince, Buike, Rondo) Then you also got guys that played under both Tubby and Pitino, (Magloire, Mohammed(he was all Pitino), Turner, and Padgett). Tubby also had Michael Bradley for two years and he played in the league.

Bogans had an off junior year. He was great his other 3 years. It would be nice if Morris, Bradley, and Crawford could do like Bogans did and really step it up their senior year. Or right now!!

As for excuses, Ive never heard Tubby do much criticizing of his own players. He dont state that well Sheray Thomas just cant get it done against a Al Horford. He just does his best and goes with it.

Jasper looks to pass the ball up the floor at every opportunity off of missed shots. If they are not open, he doesn't throw it. They don't try to run off of made baskets. A team can't just run to be running with no where to go; that would lead to unnecessary turnovers, which Bradley is king of. Bradley does try to dribble up the floor, which never results in fast break points.

Jason Parker left after being injured/ineligible, I forget. Not much any coach can do with that. Marvin Stone left also and went to Louisville. Rick Pitino didn't turn him into a pro either. Randolph Morris, when he is motivated plays really well. When he is not, he is average at best. That is up to Randoph, and he would tell you that himself.

Donovan did a great job with Roberson & Walsh?????

No, Donovan doesn't put people in the pros; those that have made it have the talent and the work ethic. No coach shoots on his own to get better; no coach handles the ball on his own to get better; no coach absorbs the teaching and makes it a part of his game; only the players can do that.

Jason Williams, Anthony Roberson, MAtt Walsh, and he's got 3 right now that will play in the league if not more. We have one maybe. Florida isn't KY yet they have better players. Guys want to go play for Billy D and run up and down the court.

When did Roberson or Walsh ever play in the league?

To be fair to both sides of the arguement the Gators have 4 right now. UK has IMO 3.

When people are "supposed" to go pro and they do you did your job. When you don't recruit pro talent (which is my biggest knock on Tubby) you don't send kids to the pros. If coaches aren't important (like you make them out to be) then why not just let the kids coach themselves. There are reasons certain coaches win and others lose. There are reasons Tubby has lost ten games each of the last few year and it's basically about recruiting talent.

Morris maybe and Meeks maybe and I can't even imagine you think Joe Crawford will get drafted.

Neither played long.

Hayes didn't get drafted....He's starting for a playoff team now.

Michael Jordan got drafted and your point is????????????????????????

Just because he may not get drafted doesn't mean he won't play in the NBA.

If he left after this year, no way would he make it, but with another year under his belt I say he's a 2nd round pick.

There is a long list of guys who went pro from KY and a short list from Florida. Billy Donavan made Florida. Tubby didn't make KY, if anything he broke it...... PP and JL and the freshman this year is a good start in repairing the problems, and if we can follow that with a number 1 or 2 recruiting class the following year I think we'll be top ten again.

Unless Billy D. gets credit for the hot girlfriend of Walsh, your point is correct.

David Lee is the only kid I can think of from the Gators.
